I am surprised that you didn't recognize the star shaped cymbals on the drum kit. The drummer is Haruna from Lovebites. The bass player is Miho, the original bass player from Lovebites. Destrose is the band they were both in before they founded the band Lovebites.

What he said. Little BIG Engine Haruna is killing the double bass as usual! They were young here.🤘

Like others have said, Destrose is where a lot of the current Japanese female bands had their start.
They were around for 7/8 years (2007-2015) and had probably close to 20 members and an other 5 to 10 live members. This single was recorded in 2012.
The members in this videos are:
    - Guitar with the pireatehat: "Captain" Mina, she also wrote the songs if I'm not mistaken (now in Fate Gear). She still performs Destrose songs with Fate Gear, including this one.
    - Guitar left of the screen: Hanako (now in Octaviagrace)
    - Bass: Miho (ex-Lovebites)
    - Drums: Haruna (now in Lovebites)
    - Vocals: Marina (now in Mardelas)
A couple of other bands that had their roots in Destrose include: Mary's Blood (the majority of the members were in Destrose at one point), Disqualia and Pinkish Crown.
A couple of bands that started later with ex-members of Destrose include Nemophila and Lonesome_Blue

Octaviagrace has so unique sound, those bass/guitar duels in White Graffiti 👍

Octaviagrace is the only band of the ones I mentioned that I have never heard I think. Maybe I should change that.
I am not a huge power metal fan, but I have gotten more used to it anyway, so why not give them a try.

@@MaartenT they are sort of pop rock band which doesn't mean there can't be great guitar riffs :) and keyboard player is also pretty creative, check out this White Graffiti, probably best song from them (singer is sadly pretty average)

Thanks for the info. I have read somewhere they were power metal, but I see on a discography website that it says rock for their last couple of albums. But being a Japanese band, it wouldn't surprise me that they lend from multiple genres either. Pop rock is generally not for me if it's super poppy, but I will try to give it a shot.

My go-to for Octaviagrace is the song Radiant. Their guitarist Hanako was screen-left in Fenixx , hardly seen, only in Destrose (“Rose of Destruction”) a short time, theories include that Mina might’ve been hard to work with (20+ members in 8years? But still, legendary futures for 90% of them!)
Progressive pop?, very jazzy, piano-y, lil dream theater ish, lil girlish (2 girls, 2 guys, unseen keyboardist). Might hit you kinda the way Li-sa-X did (another of my favs), tho Li-sa-X Band is more shreddy & more soulful imho, so you might like Octaviagrace even less… but undeniable musical talent & skill. Led by the bass player I believe, who is awesome (says me, an unbiased bass player)

Ya, relisten rd to White Graffiti again, you might like it better

I might have to double check that you’ve seen Mardelas? This (Fenixx) singer Marina’s band post-Destrose has some amazing moments, try when Lovebites writer/synth player Mao sat in with them for an album, incl song Apocalypse ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html
Btw, Mina went all in with pirate gear for her and Fate Gear, explicitly branded as steampunk and including the single Sky Pirates, which I think is the one with guest violinist Jill (unlucky Morpheus). Sorry Mina, but even the new 5 piece has had something like 14 members/guests in 7years 🤷‍♂️

Fantastic song. Destrose was one of the first in the modern all female metal scene we have today. This was where Haruna (drums) and Miho (bass) from Lovebites came from before starting Lovebites. This video was actually the 1st video with Haruna and Miho back from 2012. Destrose dissolved in 2015 and Haruna and Miho went on to form Lovebites in 2016

That’s Haruna on drums and Miho on bass currently with LOVEBITES.

Destrose along with Show-Ya and Aldious are the reason all women groups are so dominant in Japanese metal. over 20 bands formed just from ex members of Destrose like Lovebites, Mary's Blood, Fate Gear etc...

This group of ladies sounds good John much similar to other Japanese bands that have females in them which is not a bad thing. The thrash elements are cool as well and the guitar player can play an enjoyable solo. The only thing that distracted me was the colors showing the bamd is a bit too bright for me other than that I thought that was good. Take care John 🤘
