Agreed! Have been to two of his shows, both times was able to chat with him afterwards. He even accepted my request to do a little video and say hi to my kids(who love his music but are too young to go see him). One day the rest of the world will discover him and the chances of chatting with him will disappear.
he's a great guy. he was the sole reason i booked my ticket for the Joe B Blues Cruise earlier this year. Spoke to him several times on the ship. Such a great guy and even better player. he deserves so much more under the spotlight.
Man i as soon as i seen the video title....mannnn Im a big fan of these two. I have watch there videos on Instagram, listen to there music on RUclips, and i always imagined what would if these played together, or started band. Just have them play and Seeing the chemistry of their playing. They're speaking without words just amazing. BLUES POWER!✊✊👏👏👏👏🤘
JARED ROCKED THE KTBA CRUISE --- HIS ON LINE SHOW WAS OFF THE HOOK. CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE THE ELEVATOR WITH HIM AGAIN --- HE IS SO NICE, AS IS ERIC STECKEL ! GREAT SHOWMANSHIP ALL AROUND
I would say Jared is more bluesy than the Eric. Both definitely got that rock thing going on but I can hear older players in Jared's playing like Albert King bends etc.
Dude you need to get on PBS in fact I think you should have a battle of the guitars with Joe Bonamassa who's on there incessantly he's got nothing on you dude keep the faith keep playing you have my respect.
This Eric guy is good, but when I hear someone who has obviously worked hard at borderline shred technique, I'd like to hear them play outside a little more, a la Jimmy Herring or Steve Morse - little more Jazz fusion action. But, all in all, pretty good.
@@rcdubya don't get me wrong - this guy rips. I'm not a naysayer, nor am I a huge bebop/straight jazz guy; but I've been personally trying to break out of familiar box patterns, so my ear is kind of tuned to it these days. I've been digging players who have a blues rock base but really go outside the norm. Always been a big fan of Herring, Larry Carlton, Robbin Ford, etc; and just discovered Josh Smith and some other folks they've shown on this channel. Love it all.
Listening and playing Blues for 30 years it's hard to be impressed anymore because I've heard all those licks before. Nevertheless good playing though I am missing the lyrical side from most of these new blues-guys.There is so much you can play over those chords.
Dizzy Guitar I think blues has lost the touch, the way down deep passionate blues i’m talkin about, this is great guitar playing but its over the top and doesnt have the feeling the original black fellas created
So he is a great player but where is everyone getting this BLUES-METAL label? He isnt doing anything new that PAT TRAVERSE OR BLACK STONE CHERRY HAS not ALREADY DONE. AM i MISSING SOMETHING?
GET THESE TWO TO FILL MADISON SQUARE GARDEN --- I CAN GET 200 PEOPLE TO START THE TICKET SALES !! GREAT GUYS TO BOOT YOUNG GUNS DOING THE BLUES --- THE RIGHT WAY

They could have used a sprinkle of Marcus King too
I don’t think I’ve ever become a fan of anyone as fast as just now.
Jared is such a bro. Every time I’ve ever talked to him, he has been so humble and rad. 🤘🤪🤘
I got to meet Jared last month and drink a few beers with him. The dude is very down to earth.

Turn Jared up. He is half the volume of Eric. One pickup, no pick. Just great feel.
HOLY SHIT
GREAT SONG GREAT COMBO STECKEL IS THE NEXT BONAMASSA LOOK OUT JOE !
That will never happen unless he can do what Joe did and move away from playing blues clubs and blues festivals exclusively.
The bass players saying WTF look at me. What am I chopped liver.
Une tuerie !
Knaggs, Knaggs, Knaggs...

Hi, my name is Eric and I'm going to make this guitar wish it was never born.... That is all

GET TO A CLUB AND SEE ERIC GALES, ALBERT CUMMINGS, RONNIE BAKER BROOKS, WALTER TROUT, KWS, JOE BONAMASSA
Why is Nichols' rig at a much lower volume than Steckel's? Whoever decided that should be fired for BS performance sabotage!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

rickrudd Straight ahead pentatonic blues, not shred. Not fusion. Thank God. IMHO. YMMV

Blues-Metal??....I haven't heard anyone say that....blues rock maybe...but metal?.....nah.
@@johnnyguitar65 His tone is a lot more metal, and the harmonics. Reminds me a lot of Gary Moore or Jon Butcher.
@@angusorvid8840 dude....that's not metal.

Eh ma testata Mezzabarba però!!!!!!!! Italian style. ahahahahahah
It's cute how Jared thinks he can hang with Eric.
Ce type joue comme un vendeur de jambon content d'en vendre. Par contre, il y a ici, un guitariste : JARED JAMES NICHOLS...
Great and good especially Jared, but not close to Sean Costello....
