The size of the power brick isn't tied to the port but as the name states it is more in line with power. So the brick sizes should be similar for same rated power output no matter the connector. USB C, if i an not mistaking, tops out at 100w (5 amps at 20 volts), while the old Zephyrus goes up to 230w (11.8 amps at 19.5 volts). So when in use the power draw is way to much and will blow out any USB c brick and cable, it might be ok to just charge the laptop while not in use but not sure if that would be safe either.
Asus had AMD Laptops in their rooms for the Budget gamers who don't want to spend 1400+ € on a laptop. Asus TUF Gaming FX505DY & 705DY Specs: R5 3550H (4 Cores 8 Threads, 3,7ghz boost) Freesync Display (60hz and the later model 120hz) and a RX 560X. Pricepoint is around 700€.
@@mpperrusquia Sure, spend around twice as much on a Intel CPU that is 20% faster. I will spend that safed money on a better GPU. Price/performance, an AMD rig will beat an intel rig anydays. Why? Because a R7 2700x With a RTX 2080 will beat a I9 9900k with a RTX 2070 (Same price) Because a R5 2600x with a GTX 1070 Ti will beat a I5 9600k With a GTX 1070 (Same price) Not to mention motherboards. If you have more money than you will ever need: Go intel. But AMD is the more rational choice atm. Not to mention the Upgrade Path. That I9 9900k looks rather bad, compared to a R5 3600 ENGI sample. (Loosing in both Powerconsumption AND performance to a Chip that isn't even fully built).
Will all those companies who place the trackpad on the right hand side also make one for those of us who are left handed? If they do, they'll probably charge three times as much. Good design decision, guys!
Not a single mention of the new Blade 15 which is objectively better than all the ones listed. And yet the list is called "best laptops." How does that work?
not everything is centered on thunderbolt 3, zephyrus may not have but can charge via usb c, the gpu is faster than the msi gs75, build quality is way better compared to the msi, also has better cooling and g-sync with optimus in the same laptop, aswell as 3ms response time and pantone validated display. Do i need to say more ?
@@caxzrockz That is quite the hefty budget. I would go no further than a 1400€/$1600 Laptop. After that, you hit diminishing returns. Alienware Area-51M and Alienware M series ruled this show.
I second the request for the MSI offerings of laptops
MSI looks the best from the 2019 offerings, I really want the Alienware but the new MSI75 Stealth looks gorgeous.
Dell G7 Plz!
I'd love to see the Dell Inspiron 7000 2 in 1 black edition
You are very lucky to go to CES!

Any AMD Ryzen laptops on the showfloor?
No. There's no point in them because they flop in every area.
C.T. Productions AMD is garbage for poor teenagers.
