    Thanks Stu! I had a blast trapping and spending time with you. If he has this give away next year don’t hesitate to enter; he’s the real deal. He went all out! He brought his thermal gear and we went night hunting for coyotes. Spent time skinning critters in the shed and on the trap line. He even gave me some of his top secret coyote bait and lure; I’m sure you’re all jealous! Then as a parting gift he left me a pvc fleshing beam! This was a lot of fun!

    Lowes and Home Depot, in my area of NY, do not sell single cedar pickets. I'll try it with yellow pine at $4.98 a pop. Ahhh New York.

    I could not keep the mice and shrews out of my boxes. I wasted a lot of gas on mice. In the off season I use them for catching mice around my cabin seeing they like those boxes so much. They are good for Red Squirrels and chipmunks also.

    Trapping road right of ways in Wisconsin require you to have permission from the land owner. You can not just set traps anywhere. DOT owned highways are a no no. You must have been trapping in the National forest or one of the state or county own forests.

    • @snapper3172
      @snapper3172 2 года назад +1

      All the private land we trapped I have permission to be on. Being courteous is a must!

      @@snapper3172 DIdn't mean to insinuante that you didn't. But the statement you made might leave people with the impression that you can just start going down the road and set wherever you want.

    Right-of-way trapping rules in Wisconsin are actually "EXTREMELY" vague.

    • @camaro6810
      @camaro6810 2 года назад

      No they arent, they were years ago but now they are very clear. Doesn't matter the road, you need to have permission from the land owner. Its right in the regs this year under "special rule clarification".
      "Trappers must have permission from the owner of the land underlying any public road, street or highway right-of- way area before trapping the location. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has a policy that trapping is not allowed on DOT-owned roads."

      You can still trap right aways on county roads. DOT does not have alaw on the books for it. I have been doing it for years and have know problem with Sherriff department or the DNR. @@camaro6810
