Thank You for sharing. Our parents took Us to DC back as young kids. Your video is much more informative. We were much younger then You were back in the early 60s!
Traffic is going from bad to worse ! After Living here for forty years , the change is very disturbing we never go down town any more ! we enjoy Your videos very much ! Thanks for sharing 😮❤
You and Illy must have had some of the best memories in D.C.!💕🌺 And if so, then I know that you guys will always treasure them! The Persian restaurant along with the other great restaurants there must have been amazing and with great, supportive friends,as well!Take care, and have a great Lewis and Clark adventure!🛻🌄🏞🌅🤗
Thankyou Robert for your tour of DC . It brought back memories of when myself and my wife brought our kids there about 20 years ago. Me and my wife are about to start a new chapter of our life and were about to purchace our dream Rv and your videos have given us numerous ideas about were to go and what to do. Thanks for inspiring us on our new and future journeys.
Always enjoy going back and revisiting, seeing items you didn't have time to explore or didn't know were there. Always sooooo enjoy you fun exploring videos. 😊
Hi Robert 🤗 great footage of DC. I went to DC with my family as a kid when Nixon was President-remember it well. My most vivid memory is of the Tomb of the unknown soldier and the changing of the guard there. And Arlington cemetery where so many patriots are buried. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing ❤️
Didn't know Persian food was so good...the details of how he cooked the food and his enthusiasm makes you want to visit his restaurant. The only thing I would suggest is a slice of avocado 🥑 with the white rice 🍚 as an added kick! Looking forward to seeing the aerospace museum...since my favorite government agency has always been NASA...
Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum out by Dulles is open and definitely one of the greatest space museums there is. That's where the Shuttle is. I wonder if the capsule from Artemis-1 will eventually end up there.
That beef kabob looked amazing! Robert, I always find your videos so inspiring. Years ago when Dylan played hockey, we would visit the DC area and I'll never forget the time we went one winter and the reflecting pool was frozen over and we actually walked on it! Great town, great video thanks brother!
I live in the DC suburbs and have been working in downtown DC for more than 20 years now. There was a time that I worked in the building to the right of the Dubliner restaurant. I currently work in the wharf area. You mentioned one area that I didn't know, the Gravely point. I will surely visit that.
Thank you Robert for your commentary on your trips. We have liked to travel in the west but have not traveled in the east so your travels have been great for us.
Wow, you visited the WHARF! My husband designed most of the wayfinding and signage and points of interest in that area. He's currently working on phase 2 of the project. It was cool to see some of his work premier on your video (such as the cute little smores truck and the Anthem theater).
As a Sweden been in US 5 times and won a trip to DC I was so surprised how nice and fantastic that city is. We did have a car, also drove to Niagara falls and Cleveland! Many thanks Robert for you fine videos. So very well done and I share your thoughts about what you are seeing.
Another wonderful video Robert! Wonderful comment starting at 36:22, "I really like Washington DC, I like what it symbolizes ... ." In the midst of partisanship it's hard to always remember what our form of government has achieved. Maybe it takes someone with your background, who choose to live here, to remind us of this. Thanks so much!
Thanks Robert. I was in DC a few years ago. While I was there I visited the Bible Museum and the Holocaust Museum. Both were very interesting. I’m glad I went.
Hiiiii Robert!!!Aaaaaawwwwww!!! Were you just here???!!!??? Soooo close!!! I would have loved to have met and greeted you!!! WoW!! I saw stuff with you here that I’d not seen from your perspective- Have fun! Sending you love from way down in southern Maryland, Saint Mary’s County! 😁 You traveled a portion where I’ve walked daily to and from my commuter bus. You passed right by my bus stop! You got my work building in your video 😃 Glad to see you were here! WoW!! You make anyplace look enticing to visit! Lol. And to think , I could have gotten to see you! Well next time my friend. Drive SAFE!!
Sunday morning, it's time for coffee and the latest TR episode! I first visited Washington in 1966--things have sure changed since then! The thing that wowed me the most was the giant elephant in the rotunda of the Natural History Museum. The next time you're in the area you should definitely try to see the Udvar-Hazy Center--one of the most impressive collections of aircraft ever. Hey, by any chance did you run into Mary Hill while you were staying at Cherry Hill Park? (Billy Joe Royal song reference) Until next week, happy trails!
Beautiful video..... Congrats......This video is better than the previous one.It was nice to see Paula & Jim sharing with you. I enjoy this video.Keep safe and see you on the road...>>>
Hello Traveling Robert😄😄🎸🎸🎷🎷...this was an amazing watch of most of the awesome highlights. Hopefully the Air& Space Museum with be open at some point. Robert, this was an OUTSTANDING VIDEO. I'm looking forward to the next of the Lewis &Clark trail...and one of these day Robert we may cross paths. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!
Great video as always, You must keep your truck's windshield squeaky clean to get all those great shots w/o glare or artifacts. I was supposed to go to Georgetown but it didn't quite work out, big regert on my part. You used to be able to get way closer to the WH.
You could see the sadness when you were describing your wife flying back to Miami for 10 days. Always nice to have a travelling partner. Bless both of you together.
The sculpture made 3 originals of the Iwo Jima statue... The big scale one is in DC, One is located I believe at the Marine Corps Paris island facility, And the 3rd is located on veterans Parkway near the bridge in Cape coral, Florida.
I live in DC and you definitely hit a lot of highlights. Have you had a chance to explore Navy Yard yet? A bit similar to the Warf, but maybe a little bit less polished.
Dear traveling Robert this is John Chalker from Waterbury Connecticut I loved your video on DC and how you showed off the city with great honor dignity and respect I loved it very much because I took a trip to Washington DC when I was a boy I could read on the unknown soldiers too as a boy scout second class patrol leader and it made me more of a man today and then we also went to the air and space museum as well I think you do a wonderful job my brother traveling Robert I hope someday for you and me to have some dinner sometime your friend John Chalker Waterbury Connecticut fellow creator CC 🙏🙏👼👼🪔🪔❤️❤️🇺🇲🇺🇲
Hi Robert! Big fan of your channel. I love the easy going voiceover & background music on your videos. I would someday like to all the road trips on your channel. How much do you budget per day for these trips?
As I am watching you drive through DC, I am remembering going there in the Summer of 2002. That traffic was so nerve racking, blue knuckle driving. I parked in a shopping mall garage, and took the DC Metro around, and including the Pentagon. They were repairing the sight of 9/11 and working on another side of the building as well. I see in your video that the Capitol building is being worked on. I walked around in the Capitol area, and the White House. I would love to visit again with my sister, niece and her two daughters. Maybe next summer, as they are already back in school. I do love DC, there are so many neat places to see. Been there twice while I was residing in Northern Kentucky and drove the first time and a passenger the 2nd time with two other ladies. I want to stop by and say hi to Joe and Dr. Jill Biden. He sure has been keeping busy, getting all those bills passed. I believe those fences are taller and for good reason. I haven't seen that wharf area, that is neat.
I am watching your Summer 2019 series on Amazon Prime, Episode 39. Ohio. Raising Canes is NOT an Ohio local chain, or any sort of Ohio invention. It was started by an LSU student, and the original restaurant location is in Baton Rouse. You should stop in and see it one day.
I bet the President was in one of those three helicopters flying over the Potomac that you captured. They fly three at once for security reasons so no one can actually tell which one he is in. I grew up in DC, worked there over 25 years, living now for years in Arlington, VA and they fly over my home frequently. Sometimes I have to duck because it sounds like they are coming through the window the sound is so loud.
104 dollar per night doesn’t sound cheap for a camper spot. Is that for the location close to DC or do you get a lot of bells and whistles for that money?
Every time you show that picture from 1994 in DC I always think that Ily looks like a model. Shes so pretty!
I used to work in downtown DC, DO NOT MISS IT. I am loving the Ozarks tyvm. 😉
Love the 1994 pix😄
I watched all your videos. I've watched and I will watch. Because you are the best.
Thumbs up for the pictures from 94
Hello from Azerbaijan. Mr.Robert ,I like your program

We are about to watch you right now ❤️❤️we thank God for you amazing person
I really liked those photo's from 1994 when you were in DC about to become a US citizen.
Thank You for sharing. Our parents took Us to DC back as young kids. Your video is much more informative. We were much younger then You were back in the early 60s!
Great video again and thanks to Jim for the extra footage. That was a great view.
Thanks for visiting our capitol again. You and Elie looking good as kids!
I will be visiting DC in a couple of months. :) Greetings from the other Washington...........Washington state, that is. :)
Rob! You are good man, so your video are very nice 😊
Thanks a lot.
I hope you feeling good and your family too
Traffic is going from bad to worse ! After Living here for forty years

Your videos very much ! Thanks for sharing 😮❤
Nice…sometimes it is necessary to go back and see places you missed from your previous expedition. Always something new to explore…and enjoy! ♥️☕️🌺🌷🥂
Awww, you and Elly are so cute together! So happy for you!
You and Illy must have had some of the best memories in D.C.!💕🌺 And if so, then I know that you guys will always treasure them! Thank you for showing the country
Beautiful and moving video tribute to the Marine Memorial!

We really really enjoy your video. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing Robert.
See u on the road
The wharf area is the most appealing area of DC, it gives me an idea for a trip. Nice job Robert.
Thank you Robert. Another great episode. Always a great time in DC. Looking forward to the Live Chat this evening.

Robert was a stud in his youth

Stellar footage again Robert!
Good morning 🌞 thanks Jim and Paula!
I would have been in that fountain.
I got so lost driving in DC I was crying! '88?
In my f350 with slide on!
Man that Persian restaurant looked soooo good! Enough food to last quite a while!
Always appreciate your tours! Thanks Robert!
Thank you Robert for your commentary on your trips. We have liked to travel in the west but have not traveled in the east so your travels have been great for us.
I saw you on let’s turn it up world. I came over and subscribed.
Amoo's, That food looked Delicious. Yum!

My gosh, my mouth was watering looking at the spread in the Persian restaurant. I definitely added to my travel notebook...it looked soooooooo good!!
The Persian restaurant looks amazing!
I never made it to Washington D.C. thank you for such a detailed tour, Robert
Another wonderful video Robert! Wonderful comment starting at 36:22, "I really like Washington DC, I like what it symbolizes ... ." IPA ❤️
No need to say you have a confession to make about liking DC. It’s incredible with all the history.
Thanks Robert. I was in DC a few years ago. While I was there I visited the Bible Museum and the Holocaust Museum. Both were very interesting. I’m glad I went.
I was gonna say I would never go to this evil place, but you just gave 2 good reasons
Hiiiii Robert!!!Aaaaaawwwwww!!! Were you just here???!!!??? Soooo close!!! I would have loved to have met and greeted you!!! WoW!! I saw stuff with you here that I’d not seen from your perspective-

Great video, really enjoyed!

Goooooood morning Robert! What a lovely video, much appreciated. Happy Sunday & happy travels ✌ 💘 😎 🏕
Robert, stayed at the wharf a couple of years ago. The best way to get around is the metro subway. I loved it.
You could see the sadness when you were describing your wife flying back to Miami for 10 days. Always nice to have a travelling partner. Bless both of you together.
I went to DC. many years ago. Today is more seclude that ever
Love the thumbnail!
Intro song is still awesome!
Those neighborhoods definitely remind me of Brooklyn too.
One can notice where "highway funds" are spent first. The traffic in D.C. is horrendous but the roads are all new.
great job
Very beautiful thanks to this video
Ok big take away from this video is that I need to visit Amoo's. Haven't had Persian food in a long time.
Ben's chili bowl .presidents to movie stars. go need to next time.
I remember Washington DC
What a wonderful life you have! I envy your life very much! I learned a lot! I'm leaving after subscribing to your channel!

Cape Coral? I'm 30 minutes from Cape -
I live in DC and you definitely hit a lot of highlights. Have you had a chance to explore Navy Yard yet? A bit similar to the Warf, but maybe a little bit less polished.
That place looks familiar...
Robert...did you notice the extra hand on the Iwo Jima memorial? Represents the Hand of God.

Definitely. Thank you.
Great tour. Never been to the wharf. D C can be horribly hot and sticky. First time there was in a steamy July. Never did that again. ❤
You should go to Ohio Rennesance Festival and stay at Ceasars Creek Campground. Would be a cool episode.
Nice Robert 😃
great video. sad Ily had to leave😪
Hi Robert! Big fan of your channel. I love the easy going voiceover & background music on your videos. I would someday like to all the road trips on your channel. How much do you budget per day for these trips?
It depends and varies greatly. In a big city we splurge then we may save for a couple of days.
Did you know "Laus Deo" (Praise be to God" is etched on the tip of the Washington Monument?
As I am watching you drive through DC, I am remembering going there in the Summer of 2002. That traffic was so nerve racking, blue knuckle driving. I parked in a shopping mall garage, and took the DC Metro around, and including the Pentagon. They were repairing the sight of 9/11 and working on another side of the building as well.

Omg that food .
18:47 Haha, was thinking the same thing
I thought you were headed out on the Lewis and Clark trail several months ago...but you're in WA DC? Guess I am confused 😞
These videos are about 3 months behind now.
Opening shot is my sister in laws apt building to the left across from Watergate!
Were you singing "Cherry Hill Park" by Billy Joe Royal while you stayed there?
More cooking please😊
1994, just before Monica started working under Bill's desk.
I bet the President was in one of those three helicopters flying over the Potomac that you captured. They fly three at once for security reasons so no one can actually tell which one he is in. I grew up in DC, worked there over 25 years, living now for years in Arlington, VA and they fly over my home frequently. What would that city be WAY in the background, past Arlington, at 38:22?
Rosslyn I think
El capitolio de la Habana es muy bello, para mí más que el de alla
Another DC video
cool
I work in that Hell Hole of a city!!!! 🙄 have fun....
Excuse me, did you drive into National Mall in a pickup truck?
104 dollar per night doesn’t sound cheap for a camper spot. Is that for the location close to DC or do you get a lot of bells and whistles for that money?
It's got amenities, swimming pool, and being close to DC doesn't come cheap.
ЛАЙК !!! 😊
The other side of DC is “chocolate city”. Very strong African American heritage in the city
I believe the "construction" going on is repairs on damages done during the insurrection.
That may be it.
Do you travel alone?
Not anymore
