I went to school with Kelly and all I can remember about him was that he was a really good person. I was lucky enough to hear him play at our school events and private parties, so happy for his success.
First seen them in 83-84 I was 14years old with my brother he was 15 and we are still loyal fans .fast forward to 2017 Nor Cal redwood run biker fest which I was very fortunate to have all backstage pass VIP etc.. and was fortunate to meet all of the band and had about 15 minutes of conversation with Kelly and he was just like a down to earth dude. It meant a lot to me
Kelly is an underrated drummer vocalist and songwriter. His contribution to the band exceeds the average drummer. I saw them about 5 years ago and they were awesome and should have been the headliner instead of Dennis DeYoung. My first NR concert was in ‘82 and again they should have headlined instead of Ouiet Riot.

Never forget , Night Ranger was my first real "Rock Concert" at Six Flags in Atlanta , for the 1983 Midnight Madness Tour. My dad was nice enough to put up with the the whole thing to just to let me check it out. I was 11 at the time. That show will always be very special to me , he's been gone almost 21 yrs , not a day I don't think about him.
One of my All-Time favorite musicians. A great rock and roll drummer, and such a tremendous singer and song-writer as well. I have always loved Night Ranger, and to me..... Kelly was the heart and soul of the Band. Followed by Jeff Watson, for me. But Kelly is incredible, and this interview was fantastic, and a lot of fun to watch. I am so glad this material is here... and glad I finally discovered it!
Great interview!! Survivor of the 80's and long time fan of Night Ranger.. I met Kelly 2 days ago in AZ.. My Wife and I talked to him in his driveway for almost 2 hours.. Absolutely one of the nicest human beings on the planet.... Not to mention his musicianship is top shelf... What a fantastic trip thru 80' memory lane.. Thanks for sharing..peAce
So, So True. As a addict myself, you have to be strong enough to make that decision of getting clean youself. No rehab, or therapy will ever be able to help/force you to get clean. There is no middle ground. You're either ready to stop, or you're not. Thank the Lord above he kept me alive until I was ready. There is Life at the end of addiction. Things you've convinced yourself you'll never experience again, like joy and happiness, is all still there ready for the taking. Anyone can do it if I did. Facts!!!
Yes Brad did replace Randy Rhodes. I saw them in springfield in 1984. I met them at my restaurant in San Francisco in 1996. They came to my restaurant in Canton Ohio in 2001 and also to my restaurant in Akron Ohio in 2006.
I Really Like going back and hearing interviews Especially Guy’s from Night Ranger they are A Great American Rock Band one of my Favorite’s I was a Huge Sammy Hagar Fan and I went to see Night Ranger open for Sammy Hagar that was a Great concert I got hooked on Night Ranger as Well I Hate how they try to place Night Ranger in the Hair Band Metal of the late 80’s Night Ranger has Amazing musician’s Songs I don’t get why they were never as Big as they should have been

September 5, 1987 played the Old Glory Ampitheater at Six Flags over Mid America. Good times in the 80's.
They did play At Night She Sleeps live, it was on Rock n Roll tonight. It rocks.
Great interview on both sides. Very fun and positive. Love Night Ranger. Part of the soundtrack of my youth/life.

They were huge in the windy in the 80’s. They just stayed there for ever.
The Cleveland radio station the first gave you airplay was WMMS. I remember it well.
Yes Brad did replace Randy Rhodes. I saw them in springfield in 1984. I met them at my restaurant in San Francisco in 1996. They came to my restaurant in Canton Ohio in 2001 and also to my restaurant in Akron Ohio in 2006.
1:01:46 what part of Florida are you in?
Why was Jeff Watson a founding member of NightRanger fired from the band?
Because they registered the name and Jeff wasn't included. Jeff was not an original member

could have swore I saw Keaggy playing with a country band
My son was born with a bicuspid artery just like K K. His was found at 7 years old though. I guess eventually he'll need this same surgery.
Tampa area
That club had low voltage. That messes up all kinds of things.
Glad Kelly got over his self abuse my ex wife went to rehab never told me about relapsed and died 33 years later from a stroke all thanks to cocain
OMG, I'm so sorry Gene...
@@EveryoneLovesGuitar I'm not sorry she's gone she got what she deserved
