this is static clock/tuning/oc which benefits heavier work loads , whatever u call it , undervolting with pbo let's u keep the downclocking option so u dont use power in idle
THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD METHOD. What you want to do - don't install anything, go to your BIOS and disable Precision Boost Overdrive, there, you got cooler system with NO performance losses. HOW TO: find Precision Boost Overdrive in your bios and set it to disabled, don't touch anything else. On ASUS motherboards: go to 'advanced'(F7)- AI Tweaker - Precision Boost Overdrive. EXPLANATION: Basically what you are doing with what's in the video - is disabling Precision Boost Overdrive. BUT, you're LOCKING your CPU to the voltages and clocks you specify, so you're LOOSING the benefit of the system dropping the clocks and voltages when it's not doing much, it drops voltage down to 0.7 volts on idle, that's VERY low, almost twice less than you're locking it to. SO not only you get higher idle temps, you also shortening lifespan of your chip IMO.
Undervolting clock speeds and voltage doesn't diminish the chip at all. Plus PBO being enabled allows it to boost voltage past the normal recommendations set by AMD. Of course if the motherboard VRMs allow it too
Hi Odin, I set my Ryzen 5600x to 1.125v at 4400 on all cores (with ryzen master) It remains stable with prime95 Cinebench R20 and no crashing, temperatures are about 15 degrees lower than the PBO Currently in games I am 55/61 C ° Do you think it is a good result?
Yes definitely. Both few viewers of my channel doesn't recommended fixing the voltage for long term use. It should be dynamic for the longevity of the chip and I too find some sense in their suggestion
@@OdinHardware ok it might make sense! but if we notice AMD dynamically does not manage the voltage well, (much more, and therefore high temperatures) then it must be taken into account that with ryzen master we set the maximum peak voltage, so the voltage does not remain fixed. When we play not all the cores are used at maximum power and the voltage varies - it does not always remain at the peak (/ which in these cases is very low) we are talking about 1.12 against the 1.3 / 1.4 of AMD in stock

29c ambient in early march is crazy high ;o]
If i OC 5600x like you power consumption will be higher or its the same like stock? I mean rest and high usage
Oc is not worth for 5000 series

Both are in same frequency

No difference almost

Around 90 or 100 watts
@@OdinHardware so high
hey can you help me undervolting amd ryzen 5600h with rtx 3050 graphic
Why you've used P1 profile instead of undervolting values? Its because of good temperatures on it?
Because I feel p1 is more balanced one, not too low on clock speed and voltage/temperature is reasonably reduced.
@@OdinHardware Thanks for answering! Can I apply the same algorithm (method) with my R5 3600? I mean, will it work with my CPU, cause its not Zen3? (I heard, for instance, it's PBO works differently)
@@ZhekaTrololo any ryzen Will work
previously 95° on my friend brand new stock paste stock cooler ( he do shit he remove without repasting ) he repaste with mx4 then 74°C and he will do this tutorial but maybe 1.2v @4.6
Whats your bios settings ? is pbo and cbo both disabled?
Pbo auto
what is the best settings to lower the temperature and best performance?
Windows power plan set to balanced mode
should i turn of pbo in bios b4 doing this? And cant you do this in bios instead?
Not necessarily
Yes, turn off PBO in the BIOS before doing this. PBO interferes with the undervoltage you set.
Nice tuto thx man !
But I don't understand, how can I make these settings permanent? How do I get Rysen Master to launch when Windows starts up and activate this profile?
Try adding it in windows startup I. E in task manager
BIOS! set it to 1.15v and 4.35Ghz.
Apparently it voids warranty using PBO2, seems like a good reason not to use it no?
this is static clock/tuning/oc which benefits heavier work loads , whatever u call it , undervolting with pbo let's u keep the downclocking option so u dont use power in idle
Should I use this method or pbo 2?
Pbo
@@OdinHardware I have a 5600x with asus rog strix B550 a gaming motherboard but I don't understand settings in Bios. Do you know how to do it?
@@OdinHardware what is difference between pbo2 and this method?
THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD METHOD. What you want to do - don't install anything, go to your BIOS and disable Precision Boost Overdrive, there, you got cooler system with NO performance losses.
HOW TO: find Precision Boost Overdrive in your bios and set it to disabled, don't touch anything else. On ASUS motherboards: go to 'advanced'(F7)- AI Tweaker - Precision Boost Overdrive.
EXPLANATION:
Basically what you are doing with what's in the video - is disabling Precision Boost Overdrive.
Of course if the motherboard VRMs allow it too
Same temps for me (PBO on/PBO off)
What settings should i use for 4.5ghz? I mean volts
I set it at 1.2 volts
Thx realy nice.♡

Thank you too!👍
Hi Odin, I set my Ryzen 5600x to 1.125v at 4400 on all cores (with ryzen master) It remains stable with prime95 Cinebench R20 and no crashing, temperatures are about 15 degrees lower than the PBO
Currently in games I am 55/61 C °
Do you think it is a good result?
Yes definitely. Both few viewers of my channel doesn't recommended fixing the voltage for long term use. It should be dynamic for the longevity of the chip and I too find some sense in their suggestion
@@OdinHardware ok it might make sense! but if we notice AMD dynamically does not manage the voltage well, (much more, and therefore high temperatures)
then it must be taken into account that with ryzen master we set the maximum peak voltage, so the voltage does not remain fixed.
When we play not all the cores are used at maximum power and the voltage varies - it does not always remain at the peak (/ which in these cases is very low) we are talking about 1.12 against the 1.3 / 1.4 of AMD in stock
Hi, how long ctr need to run?

Is this method safe bro?
Can't assure for long term
@@OdinHardwareso what is safest method for undervolting?
@@amir9334 hello. For zen3 (ryzen 5000) processors normal voltage is around 1.3v. When you undervolt you CPU or GPU, i think, u cant damage your pc components. Because u reduce voltage not pulled it to Mars)))) So if u stay in safe voltage value( 1.3v and less) u cant kill your cpu. You can read other users thoughts on Reddit or same forums that proof my opinion. My 2600x is undervolted for 1.5 years and its stable and alive)))) dont worry about damage)
And some users in my comment section had mentioned that forcing constant voltage and speed may affect the chip in Long term
@@OdinHardware so maybe it's better TP use offset mode in bios for cpu Voltage?
My 5600x is at default 3700 and 1.056 Peak Voltage. Why?? And im getting temps of 71 on idle.
Boost isn't enabled then..
Hello. Can I ask, how you can automatically run these undervolting settings on the PC? Hoping for your reply. Thanks
Using ryzen master
@@OdinHardware with ryzen master the values gets reset eveytime you turn on your pc, to have it all the time you need to apply the undervolt or overclock values on the "manual overclocking" section on the BIOS. Only use ryzen master to test different frequency

Im scared to change these settings. I've change the boost and It works
This is Undervolting so nothing can be damaged, worst thing you will get are restarts and BSOD's, till you found a stable config.

I can't even press tune in the CTR. Bad video
why is my cores at default only 3700?
I have the exact same cpu Ryzen 5600X
Run cinebench and check what all core speed you getting

What's the cpu watt undervolted?
Should be around 50 to 70 watts
