So important to mention that you shouldn't add sugar to your tea. I once was invited by some lovely elderly ladies from Kentucky to have some tea. I felt so badly that I couldn't even drink it because it had been so heavily sweetened that it was 5x sweeter than straight juice.

Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.

Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less ADDED chemicals, sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products.
Why is there so much ADDED sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy
Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products.
Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues.
Reduce or eliminate highly processed food from your diet if you can. Cut out soda, chips and processed meats.

Question; So in my 40s, starting to need reading glasses, figured it was just age and got a check up. Good thing because pressure in my eyes was high. I was put on a once a day eye drop (at first Xalatan, later cheaper ones came out.) In my 60s now and this has worked ever since. I get checked twice a year. BUT with all I have learned about diet changing health, and I HAVE already got my BP under control my A1C under control all through starting KETO. SO Im' wondering if diet couldn't reverse what ever is clogging the natural drainage system in the eyes?

  • @artmakersworlds

Ok, SODA I cut out DECADES ago. I bought a carbonation machine and keep carbonated water in the fridge. If I want "soda" all I need to do is hit a glass with a shot of fruit juice. (usually lemon) Cherry is great too. I will try juicing some strawberries next and add some of that.
Chips..... this was tough. Cheetos were my last hold out on the processed foods to let go. BUT when the price shot up to over 6.00 a BAG for what use to be a buck and a half, that did it for me.
As for the processed meat, yea bad news there. READ the ingredients. We use to live on Johnsonville brats in summer. Until I got on keto and realized EVERY SINGLE VARIETY that company makes has corn syrup pumped into it. I found a few stores who make their own sausage on site and it's SO much better.
