    Congratulations Norman, that was fantastic. Saw your interview with George Isted and thought that would be interesting. Video works well in that format.

    Hi Norman. Indeed, great video! Bringing back memories. Especially the mast climbing in mid atlantic.

    Great insight into what these passages are like for a relative landlubber!
    Putting the snippets together gives a good pace to the narrative. Would have loved to see a little more detail in how you managed the sails in the stronger winds regarding reefing and when just running a storm jib etc.
    Looks like the boat coped really well.
    Great video.

    Great film, just watched for 2nd time. What a challenge to take on. Could you do a film on the preparation on you and your boat.
    Congratulations again 👍

    I was interviewed recently by George Isted who is a very talented shipwright and runs a RUclips channel called Refit and Sail. This is the link to our chat about my electric conversion. ruclips.net/video/fxmw8ybw_BU/видео.htmlsi=Sw5Q6qob_oxTv3j9

    Was watching your interview on Charlotte and your obvious enthusiasm for sailing had me hoping you had your own channel, and hey, found this in the interview notes. Hope you post more videos of your adventures. Very curious to see how you get on long term with the electric conversion.

    Very nice video thanks for sharing. You are a brave and very capable sailor. What type of navigation schooling have you had? Self taught? How and when do you sleep on this journey? Do you put the sails down to do so and just drift or do you remain under sail?

    • @sailshootsail
      @sailshootsail  Месяц назад +1

      Hi, mostly self taught and lots of advice, short naps under sail as normal. Reef down if winds are building.

    Great achievement!! Do you use a Wind vane or an auto pilot (or both)..? Good luck with the return trip, I guess you are back home now👍

    • @sailshootsail
      @sailshootsail  22 дня назад

      Hi and thank you. I use both wind vane and autopilot. I think they are both essential for long passages.

    Well done Lotte and Skipper. I've been watching George over the last year putting her together. Now waiting for your return trip. One question, where did you get your Starlink holder. I've been looking for one of those as I have Starlink on my boat. Regards.

    • @sailshootsail
      @sailshootsail  23 дня назад

      Hi, this is not the Lotte that George rebuilt. Starlink bracket was from Amazon. Grey powder coated to match the dish post

      @80649 23 дня назад +1

      @ I now realise that. Just watched the RUclips video. Excellent stuff. Seriously thinking of throwing out the iron sail and replacing it with batteries. Thanks for the Amazon tip.
