I am mainly animal-based, but I make sure I eat fermented vegetables, kombucha… I was strict carnivore for a long time, I ended up in the hospital with a severe ulcerative, colitis and rheumatoid arthritis flare, they did my bloodwork, and I was extremely deficient in vitamins and minerals🤦🏼♀️ I really thought I was doing everything right
Eating carnivore almost killed me - that after 5 weeks of this diet i ended up in hospital … all started with me having diarrhea , being tested that i have sibo .. for 6 weeks i tried low fodmap diet it did not help , then i switched to keto diet for a month , it neither did any good , i had 8-9 time diarrhea a day , last thing i did was carnivore diet , consuming mostly beef lamb and eggs with gee since i am lactose intolerant, my diarrhea increased my brain fog increased , i could not sleep even thought i added electrolytes and salt .. i started eating lean to stop diarrhea never helped .. i dropped from 81 kg to 63 with 192 cm height , i could not walk any more .. whoever says carnivore diet is ultimate remedy for gut problems is at least ignorant , there should be some better studies , now i am just trying to survive eating boiled vegetables at hospital

Yes vegetables are very good. They sre not fully dead. But quality vegetables are hard to find. Look at countries who eat vegetables from their agriculture. They are not dying of cancer like in the west. My personal recommendation is 50 percent good quality meat and 50 percent great vegetables. Western people dont know much with all due respect. Go live in Asia and try their vegetables.
We here (I'm in USA) are being poisoned - poison in soil, in air, in water, sprayed on the produce. Things are just out of wack here; we're painted into a corner.
Yea but Dr. Ede's main points are basically just warning against the demonization of red meat. She didn't suggest to go full carnivore. She advocated for 'pre-agricultural whole food diet' and not that means an omnivorous diet. There might be dark sides of vegetables, but so does meat just like everything in life if used unbalancedly
YOu know- I am carnivore right now-- but God created veggies for a reason.... and I hate to see them going to waste-- I'm about to think all this eat this- don't eat that shit is a CROCK- and say f.. it- and start eating whatever the he.. I want.. I'm too old for doing wtihout now-- eating was about all I have left..
No. Humans invented the vegetables in the grocery store. They never existed in their current form until a century or 2 ago. Some like brocolli have been around for a thousand years or so, but it still wasn't make by God.
Hi! What about fruits? I've been reading Paul Salidono's animal based diet and interested what you think? I havent gone full carnivore yet...I don't really have any health issues to address but like eating grassfed meat and butter and just feel like I'm more satisfied and eat less. Thanks!
You should read studies rather than books from people writing them for profit. You might actually cause yourself problems going on an animal based diet. Feeling good short term is not the same as living a healthy, cancer free, life.
@@thomj623 I'd say eat more plant based with meat or fish on occasion, honestly. If you can't give up meat. A whole foods, plant based diet is proven safe and effective at reversing disease. Prevention too. But if you insist on a mostly meat diet, absolutely eat fruits and vegetables. Your gut microbiome needs food to help you. And eating high antioxidant foods will blunt, to a degree , the negative aspects of the meat. Something might feel good to do for awhile. But sometimes things catch up on you in way's you don't expect. Fad diets come and go. Low carb has changed its name so many times, it's ridiculous. Human ancestors did not live off of meat, unless they had too. They ate tons of fiber rich foods. But for arguments sake, say they did, why would you do something someone did only because they had to? I wouldn't take nutrition advice from a caveman. Or someone on RUclips. But if you do, find someone who knows what they're talking about, gas a background in medicine and nutrition , isn't profiting off of selling supplements or books or workshops. And read studies yourself. Anyone can publish a study. I can show you studies showing the health benefits of smoking cigarettes. Paid for by tobacco companies. The preponderance of studies would show, a plant based or mostly plant based diet is healthier for you. And if something is better, stay in the safe zone and wait for real science to say a meat based diet is better. I will say a carnivore diet or Paleo diet is better than a diet high in processed foods though.
@@thomj623 there are great videos about this topic by Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Paul Mason. I highly advise you to check them out. It will at least help you to understand what fruits, veggies and grains are doing to your body and that will help you to make food choices that fit you :)
@@mrmaxcarter2306 I disagree with you regarding plant, nuts as these are high in oxalates promoting inflamation. for those of us who are insulin resistant, no carb helps stabilize blood sugars. Going carnivore keeps me satiated.
Vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds are nothing compared to it's original size and nutrition. Humans have modified all these to increase calories, carbohydrates, and sugars. These foods are best eaten by animals and they process them properly to make the perfect food for humans.
I agree with you except for the nuts being modified (English walnuts being a possible exception). Do you have any evidence that pistachios or hazelnuts, for example, have been bred to increase their size?
I chipped one of my teeth. After two weeks the chip was gone. My tooth grew back. Has ever happened to you? Apparently it’s because of vitamin K2 in our saliva. Using mouthwash destroys our saliva and damages our teeth. And maybe toothpaste as well. I only use a small amount of toothpaste in the morning.

Your gut bacteria will change depending on our diet. Not bad or good. We aren't fermenters like Apes. We digest using protease and lipase because we evolved as meat eaters predominantly.
The Maasai are not that healthy anymore… they started eating a lot of corn in their milk now… n when I saw a new documentary about them, u find some overweight people (mostly women) there… cos women are not eating as much meat as the men… one guy explained they do eat the corn for about 50 years now… n what s very interesting in a study about them they also found coronary arteries calcified in them… so I wonder how it happened 😂 but at least the vegan community got another stupid point why u meat is bad❤
Dr Ede is the best. It was her video at the Ancestral Healing Symposium in 2012 called "Little Shop of Horrors" that convinced me to go carnivore.
