I don't see the point of rooting the android tv box for a phone I can understand you want a different OS or get rid of some stock apps but most android TVs are pretty clean for removing ads you can install a custom launcher

Thanks for sharing, Unfortunately could complete the prcedure. On some point during progress, an "Network error' "Faile to accquire cloud issued Root strategy" message appars, and no more progress is possible. I tried the "Check now" button without any success. Any ideas?
For the chrome permissions thing: NONE of the things you enabled permission for will help you in any way here. The one you already had enabled, storage, is required however if you are going to download something through the internet with the app. Or even just save a picture for that matter. But chrome will ask for permission when you try that regardless. Basically, this already seems a bit sus. Not that I actually suspect something malicious, but others might assume that despite the facecam and friendly character. So for future videos like this one I recommend having a script written down that you're following. It really helps with accidental misinformation like that and makes sure the video has a consistent feel to it too.

It is very much easy to root Android TV box. But it's very much difficult to install full TWRP recovery on Android TV box plus how will you install magisk manager, it will need full root permission for magisk to work.

I have one of these tablets and started seeing the same things, most notably even the Chrome browser is no longer getting updates, but there may be other browsers and apps that still support the tablet’s older android OS that you could use instead. in order for your favorite apps to work with this older tablet, not only will the tablet need to be rooted, but you will also need to install a custom ROM like Lineage OS, if this tablet is even supported by that package. in my initial research, it doesn’t look like Lineage is fully compatible with this tablet yet, but there may be other solutions if you are very comfortable working “under the hood” with Android devices.
Or you can use a different app store that allows you to mock a certain kind of phone. That's how I got aethersx2 on my nvidia shield tv.

Why u try root for Mi Box
It is very much easy to root Android TV box.
But it's very much difficult to install full TWRP recovery on Android TV box plus how will you install magisk manager, it will need full root permission for magisk to work.
