- Dare you ride... The Vampire?
Take flight in this on-ride footage of the United Kingdom's only Arrow Dynamics Suspended Swinging roller coaster.
All credit goes to Bobby Gathergood for uploading this footage. I do not own any of this content.
So, does this mean this is the first ever back row POV of Vampire? Nice.
I'd wish they'd reinstall new trains like these again, those Vekoma ones look very uncomfortable to be in :/
I mean, S&S bought Arrow after ot went bankrupt and still produce their 4D model, and still supple arrow pieces, so why can't they just make Arrows swinging trains for Vampire again?
This is a snippet from the employee day out video I've recently uploaded, but I loved it so much, I thought I'd edit it out and make a short video of it!
The, now, Vekoma trains are surprisingly comfortable! These days, some people have described Vampire as rough, but I do think it boils down to what you consider rough. (I don't think so, personally!).
That's a very good question, and I also wish we could see more of these around, but unfortunately I should imagine there are all sorts of reasons why. I do know that these particular models were very tricky to maintain.
@@thechessingtonmagpie6055 Thb, I think a lot of what Enthusiasts consider rough is a huge overreaction. Ive been on Colossus and The Big Dipper and still love them to bits :)
I doubt the reason why they javent Brought back the old trains is because of maintenance issues, nut more likely the cost, as we know, Merlin seem to lack heart in much older attractions and prefer to only look onto much newer ones, so they probably don't see the reason why they should as it won't boost attendance, but if this were Tussauds, things would end a LOT Different.
@@louiswright8282 maintenance is just one of the many reasons why it would be difficult to recreate Vampire's old trains. It would certainly be rather costly for Merlin, and as you say, the company focus on looking ahead, and creating new attractions and rides for the future. This would also be one of the reasons why Safari Skyway was removed.
@@thechessingtonmagpie6055 Merlin just doesn't seem to have a balance, with half being new and looking to the future, and the other half giving care to older attractions. When in reality it almost seems like they're intentionally trying to make us to that the Tussauds era even existed. We can see this easily from their treatment to Duel/The Haunted House, Bubbleworks, and Tomb Blaster. By no means they're a bad company, they're just the wrong company running the wrong types of parks.
