- The Maiden Flight of my new E-flite Cherokee 1.3m BNF Basic. It went very well, as all E-flite models are carefully test flown many times and tuned with AS3X long before they ever hit the market.
I'll do some slight adjustments to the battery location(shift the C/G slightly back), and get her out to the dry lake when I can...and it isn't a sopping mess from all the rain! Cheers everyone!

Neat maiden flight, John! Super relaxing to watch... the blue scheme does look 'classic' general aviation.
Glad you enjoyed it Gina! This one's a keeper for sure 😎👍
Everyone needs a 'cherry picker' at their field LOL ! 😎
Hah! Indeed my friend 😉👍😁
Nice flying bro! Such a honest airframe. Love the Cherokee! Oh, and yes...put that battery back! Lol
For sure my friend, acknowledge all 😉👍😎😁
looks like it fly's like the cirrus sr22 thanks for the show.
Thank you Jack, and yes, it does fly much like the Cirrus, very gentle! All the best to you my friend!
Always love a well done civilian plane! I have the older version 1 Eflite Cirrus and find it flies and lands a bit better with the battery pushed farther back.
Totally agree with all points my friend 😁👍!
Uuugh I need it. I've been good so far but you're making it really hard..
I'm still flying the original one Jason sent me years ago. One of my favorite airframes.
That scenery's awfully familiar!
Hah!! I actually can't believe you haven't got one yet?!? She flies just like the OG, and the new refresh paint scheme is pretty cool too. The light package is intense. Usually I'm no into retreads, but this one was done very nicely and it's good to see the Cherokee back in the lineup! And YES, I bet you know right where that video was shot...
Is there a shortage of balsa wood I'm not aware of?
Not really, but then again foam planes have been around since at least the mid seventies, so this isn't really a new phenomenon. I actually have a balsa Cherokee, the Tower Hobbies Cherokee EP. BUT, this one is very nice flying plane that looks pretty good! All the best my friend!
Actually there is. It’s a key material in the construction of wind turbine blades, so supplies for modelling are harder to get and much more expensive than historically. Still possible to build models, but harder and more expensive than it was.
@@Lipo-man Oh wow!! Now that's interesting, thanks for the info!
