People in the comments keep saying they can’t accept how "underrated" and "unpopular" ARTPOP is but tbh, accept it and embrace it, I take more pride in loving something that everyone else seems to not care about than being a sheep and love something that everyone else seems to be obsessed with just to "belong" or be "cool", the lack of "popularity" of this project is part of what makes it so great.
Also anyone who truly loves Gaga would know how vocal she was during this era (during her whole career also but especially here) about the idea of defining her own version of success, she literally said she would "quit and retire of commercial business if she had to do something other than being herself", everything is properly rated there’s nothing over or underrated, if people didn’t like or slept on this project it’s something that not only cannot be changed but it’s also something that Gaga herself expected from such an experimental and unique album, after her hip injury she couldn’t perform and be there for her little monster and all the emotions and darkness she experience during this time exploded into these electronic and experimental masterpieces that show in many ways how she felt about herself, her career and the music industry during this awful time in her life, she gifted us the coolest diary/update of what she went through while she couldn’t be there for us, anyway I just love this album and I love to love it with just the few who get it and get that the project is good not because it’s not rated how I would wanted to be rated but because it’s a project that defines quite perfectly why we love Gaga and how you can still be a black sheep in such a superficial and chaotic world like the hamster wheel that the ART world can be.

Venus wasn't a single so considering it is doing pretty good having over 40 million streams on Spotify and G.U.Y. was way to late, being 7 months after the prior MV, Applause. Also people considered G.U.Y. to be over produced at the time and longer MVs are harder to be successful, as less people will be inclined to watch it (not saying it can't work, definitely paid off for Telephone and Thriller).

ARTPOP was definitely far ahead of its time, perhaps even still so. I hope more people get into this album because i think as a concept is utterly genius and one of gaga's best to date. The combination of high art culture with the modern, the taboo, and the electronic shows Gaga's vision for this album as one that interprets the past for future audiences. An utterly timeless fusing of art and pop that, based on the context of interpretation, could truly mean anything. ARTPOP's importance and resonance has only increased with time.

Lady Gaga is one of the few singers who have good voice, make good videos she does not use as many green screens like other "artists". The videos are of good production, she loves her fans (I love her). She creates great songs! most people say "I don't like her music" "She is flop" "her music is boring and stupid" "she is a demon", but that's a lie (Everybody knows she does very good songs, but they do not want to accept), she makes very good rhythm and good lyrics. I feel like some haters don't know why Gaga's fans like her so much. Here is why I love Gaga:
She composes ALL of her songs, from the piano to the orchestra, to the singing.
She writes all of her songs.
All of the songs can be performed as a slow ballad, which she composes.
She creates THINGS (discostick, the POP techno glasses, the different pianos for different performances, the keytar Emma, her disco bra, her seashell bra... like so many other things I couldn't even list them all!)
She references art from the past, and present.
She doesn't mind wearing small designers designs, or even her fans designs!
She references other artists from the past (ie BOWIE and CHER and LIBERACE!)
She grew up doing theatre and musicals (like so many of us!)
She doesn't want to be a puppet-- she stands true to her aesthetic and vision and what SHE likes! HELLO, You & I was a country song!
She can create ANY genre of music!
Um, wearing those 12" heels is talent in itself!
Her performances are all unique from one another, and there is such passion and artistry in them! (Hello! when she performed ARTPOP on Jimmy Fallon... when she performed Dance in the Dark at the Brit awards... omg I can't even name all the amazing performances!)
Her and her FRIENDS are in the Haus creating everything, it's not some machine who she has never met, or who think up all her ideas... it's just a bunch of friends like throwing ideas around and making them happen!
She lives, breathes and bleeds being an entertainer.
She isn't giving her work to a team of magic record industry folk who turn it into a hit-- she is the director, the writer, the performer, the producer, the composer... she is doing every facet of the process, and not resting on her laurels! It would be so easy to say, "I want to do a song about being the one with the power in the relationship" snapping her fingers and having Interscope crank out a "banger" but she is making all this come into fruition! Not many other artists are doing that!
And yes, she HAS changed my life! I was so repressed working in a corporation, and my manager would always give me shit for what I wore... sorry I don't want to wear a polo shirt and stretch pants, I have a sense of FASHION! SO I QUIT THAT FUCKING JOB and haven't been more happy! If she can be a strong woman and wear what she wants, so can I!
And besides that, have you heard her speak? She is so friggin intelligent.
