I still haven't watched all of this video, but i'd just like to give a big heartfelt cheers to you guys for the oodles of information and tips you provide. I haven't started modifying or building cars myself, yet, but i do very much appreciate all of the great information you guys provide. I've watched pretty much all of your build series and i'm just trying to absorb as much as possible of the info and wisdom, mostly because i love learning about mechanical and electronic stuff, but also because i want to start modifying and building cars myself. I didn't really know i wanted to put the information into practice until the last couple of builds, but the more i watch, the more i want to try it myself! I do have a fair bit of theoretical knowledge, especially about the mechanical systems of engines, fuel injection, electronics, hydraulics and HVAC, it's just that i have very little actual hands-on mechanical skills. I need to learn how to weld, for example =D I have changed a timing belt, a heater core, diagnosed and fixed electrical issues and the like... Yeah, just thanks you guys! I didn't mean to write a novel, so SKÅL (cheers in swedish)
More than 35 years turning wrenches for a living .I will give one bit of advice start with a honda the build will go much smoother and cheaper , a 400 hp honda is a affordable shopping list from reality and a great way to get time under your belt with success. Not to mention the great community support so when you screw up . Until you have bashed/skinned every knuckle , burnt every finger , had hot weld slag in your underpants, had bits drilled out of your eyes will you know if you really like building cars. Working under pressure to get things done on time for a paycheque is no fun and what ever budget you set add 25% for all the little things you didn't account for on your first home build . One last thing you never stop learning so get stuck in and start learning . SKA'L.
Good advice P, I have been a mechanic for 32 years. Don't get caught up in the " I need a 500 -600 hp street car or no -one will like it mentality", this is only a competition car NOT a street car, that's why the boys have not mentioned having the vehicle engineered by a qualified professional or mod plates for Queensland Transport . Build yourself a nice streeter that you can enjoy and learn along the way.
Huge thanks to Sam at 3D Racing Solutions for supplying the dash cluster to hold the IC-7 Dash, He makes more than just Dash inserts, Checkout his website here! 3dracingsolutions.com Thanks to Scott and Tara at Next Level Motorsport who supplied us with the voltage divider for the A340 park neutral switch. nextlevelmotorsport.com.au And as always thanks to The Hoff and Wendy from @Nugget Garage for tuning the Torana, Check them out on RUclips! ruclips.net/channel/UCQWdBXYQx7ym4lZB8paLSzg
I know its a long time ago, but loved this series Defo one of the best channels on you tube. Bloody impressive numbers on the dyno to. Cheers for the entertainment!
Legends, joined the subscriber crew at the start of this build, and have absolutely loved following along each week and have learned so much. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to the next project!
That 2jz should go in a badass time attack car with aero, sponsored by the skid factory and nugget garage. A joint chuch build. Grats on the finished build.
Al getting 'stressed'...Not good for Al but we have benefitted from this series. Kudos to 'Turbo Yoda' and Woody for cracking through this build. Subbed to Nugget Garage so won't miss any other stuff...Just cracked open some 'lemon squashes' here...
I reckon what that Torana needs is a bit of added rigidity, so you avoid F&F style injuries like the chassis twisting coming off the line ;) Good to see her done though, should be a bloody fast thing to go to the shops in!
Was half expecting one of Al's Nurries to flop out of them stubbie shorts on the lean back in the chair 🤣🤣 Straight up 80s styling, but with brighter colours
Awesome build! =) It was fun to follow, although I've surmised it was more work than you thought! Anyway, it's fun to follow along and get SOME sense of what it takes to do a real "restomod" build on a car. I mean it took you guys a fair bit more time than you thought, so, what, quadruple, quintuple that? No that's not enough. I reckon (see, i'm trying to speak aussie to maybe make you read this =) a build like this might take someone who can turn a wrench, weld and knows his way around a multimeter ten times the time you guys did it in? And yes, that's assuming quick access to the parts and tools required. So as a d-i-y, maybe on a simpler conversion, like where there's already another bigger engine that fits in the car already, a year to get it right? By that i mean working alone and getting most of it right. Like the first step beyond installing coil-overs and a fart-can =D

ONE MORE THING, BE PREPAIRED TO BE BROKE MOST OF THE TIME AS 70 % OF YOUR INCOME WILL GO TO PARTS ONCE YOUR HOOKED.

Legends, joined the subscriber crew at the start of this build, and have absolutely loved following along each week and have learned so much. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to the next project!
Al’s left arm is kinda hypnotic 😆 makes you believe it’s big. Great build lads. Looking forward to seeing more. Legends.

Finally get to see that illusive tattoo on Al's arm lol. Good job fellas. Kinda sad though as i really enjoyed watching this build.
The end of this mystery for me was still better than GOT: Season 8
I do believe it used to be a Pedobear tat, and he got it 'fixed'.
I thought it was a Peugeot Logo all this time...
A smile on my face straight away with the shorts
You guys should refer to Nugget Garage as "The Hoffpital"...

Al getting 'stressed'...Not good for Al but we have benefitted from this series. Kudos to 'Turbo Yoda' and Woody for cracking through this build. Subbed to Nugget Garage so won't miss any other stuff...Just cracked open some 'lemon squashes' here...
The final tune episodes are my favourites for some reason. Maybe its the finality of it, or the suspense of the numbers, but they are cool.
Awesome series guys! Great work :)
Aside from the exhaust note, love it.
Not a chuch, I listened to you Woody and Nugget Garage do gnarly stuff, it's epic !
Awesome build guys! Love your work.

It may not be practical, or the easiest conversion, but hot dayum, boys that's a sweet sweet ride. Well done for not chucking it in the bin hahaha
Hope the next build is something unusual, sort of like how they did the NA AW11, it was cool to see the variety
This episode was sponsored by wave zone shorts, the shorts ya need when ya after speed.😜🤪😜🤪

It's time for The Skid Factory boys to build a rotary :P
