Omg Layla you are amazing. You understand us small business owners. You explain everything we can possibly have questions for in the easiest way to understand possible. Can't thank you enough for all the free content you put out here
As I mentioned in the chat during the show, this will be a video that will be saved and rewatched many times. Thanks for all the information. I'm glad I made the effort to watch it live even while on a holiday.
Thank you, Layla - I’m a ClickUp beginner and came across this video which has been very helpful. May God Bless You for sharing your knowledge with others.
Great video Layla! This is so crazy how they have built their template system. It’s almost as if it’s going against all common sense. I was sure there is a way to easily go in to a template edit it and that’s it. Didn’t know that the process is so long and complicated. Hopefully they will simplify it asap. ✌️
I always think of editing the template, is the same as editing a Word document. In order for there to be any editing or updating the template, you will have to use it (open) the doc and make your desired changes, then save that updated version. I have seen edit button in other products without having to (Use Template) but when you think about it, it is really the same step or concept as any other system. Just my thoughts.
Great video @LaylaPomper! Thank you. I have a follow-up question. I created a List Template with a custom field to control a task grouping and view order (i.e. 1. Title, 2. Title, 3. Title) so I can organize each section of tasks. When I rolled out the template, my group of users added their own grouping names and order, unfortunately, they added a client name. Now any client who has access to their list, and they look at that custom field, they are seeing other clients' names. How can I use a list template with a custom field which still allows a user to customize, but then hides those customizations from other template users?

Clickup for the general public is very complex. You make it much more thorough to comprehend. Clickup should sponsor you!
Im following this tutorial, and I just have to say something: I Think Click Up SHOULD Sponsor you! Everything I learn for the tool comes from you!
Maybe one day ClickUp will agree with you. 😂
I agree tho ❤
Me too

SWIM LANES??!!!! Amazing!
Such an underrated feature!
How do I add tasks through templates in the mobile app????
That may be limited as of now. I'd recommend adding the templates on a computer. Desktop or Laptop
