I think he plays it different every time , but has many of the licks and chords practiced for many years and probably keeps developing new ones and keeps practicing and in performance just gets into it and plays how he feels but with some structure envisaged. Hope that makes sense! He is so good , even though he plays so fast you can see and hear what he is doing. :-)
I've watched almost every version of Guitar Boogie by Tommy on YT - and every one is different. I think his music is the projection of the state of his mind with a little help of his fingers and guitar.
I think this is a good example of where immaculate technique produces pure entertainment; something that has been lost in recent times.... cant help but yelp randomly as I watch this roller-coaster display on my headphones. yep, as I suspected... My wife thinks I'm nuts.
Excellent quality on all fronts, thanks for the video! Just one small correction/addition: Tommy doesn't just play Guitar Boogie here, the tune he seamlessly slides into at 4:50 is his original composition Stevie's Blues, dedicated to Stevie Ray Vaughan (obviously with a good deal of improv, but the main melody's definitely Stevie's Blues).
Not his best effort. Lot of redundancy. I think he was fronting for the Sheilas over in the left corner. I never thought Tommy's style really transitioned to full blues acoustic. He's too aggressive.
The best guitar player in the world. No doubts whatsoever.
SMOKIN HOT ! AMAZING , INSPIRATIONAL , AND A WHOLE LOT OF FUN.... !!!
I can't even wrap my brain around how this man can remember ,,,memorize ,,,every note,,,every song
Incredible ,,,

I love how every performance is just a little different. Never the same!!

I'm the 7000th viewer.:22-02-2014
fuck me dead....what do you say to a performance and variations like that? That deserved a crowd of 100,000 not 100
Is Tommy Emmaunuel related to Adam Clayton Jr.? (Bassist for U2). I know they are not - but the remind me of each other.
Would love to see Page, Beck or Clapton attempt this - I think I know who's the best acoustic guitar player there is ...don't you ..
Clapton already said, TE is the best guitarist he has ever seen.
Apples and pears. Clapton writes amazing stuff, Tommy performs superbly.
He does, TE also said he is one of the best songwriters. But TE is on an other level regarding playing the guitar.
Tommy is the king of Improvised
