I got into the game late, and with wife + kids + a full time job I got no time for thrifting. I think these were on sale at Target for 5 bucks recently. I’m definitely doing this mod and more open to the Elite 2.0 stuff. Thank you for inspiring the masses to tackle these projects!
Exactly man! I totally understand this and that’s why I’m laser-focusing on these projects. There are about a thousand Firestrike and NF mod videos out there but I couldn’t find a single one on the Volt. This blaster is actually very good! 💥🔫
I absolutely love when someone gives some work to the "black sheep" of any line and makes them into something quite impressive. Great point about adding the aluminum and avoiding metal corrosion by the contact of brass to it, never saw anyone talk of these facts. And great solution to the strange new no O rings thing Hasbro's been doing! If I could propose a slight challenge here, another drastic underperforming line is the Elite Jr series, for obvious reasons, but they seem not to take to mod enhancements too much either, at least from what I've seen other "big" channels doing. But hey, already here today learned some tricks they never even taught me, so maybe we've got that "new blood" energy going and can do new things? I'd personally suggest the Flyer as it's the simplest in function, if you opt to give such a try.
Thanks man. I just know that many people are not going to be in a position to just go out and procure an older (easier-to-mod) blaster, so I figured this would come useful. Thank you for the kind words! Much more of these in the works! Turbine and brass breeches echo are also in the pipeline! :)
happy you did this my dude, I knew these things are hard to open and when you do the plunger head isn't like the older blasters and of course the leaf springs thing
Nice mod. I'm finding that these new blasters are much better than all the bad press they've been getting. You're showing people that with a bit of work and experimentation, you can get great performance.
Thanks For Posting!! Do have some more detailed how to videos for complete beginners. Like where you get those parts and things? And more detailed breakdown of disassembly and reassembly? Had the idea to add some LEDs to my son's gun and stumbled on this video. Got me all excited to do some mods.
I think I’m going to make a vid tutorial for these things at some point. I know RUclips is saturated with soldering videos but I think a video within the community would be helpful. And thank you! 💥🔫
At the 7:30 mark, it looks like the plunger tube assembly has a black line around it that wasn't there in the pre-update. Did you cut it apart and glue it back together at all?
Excelente modificación, me gustaría poder cambiarle el LED a mi volt pues el que trae originalmente es muy débil. ¿Que les ocupaste? Me darias las especificaciones del que le instalaste? Saludos.
Lots of patience! There is hardly any glue of any at all but just work one side at a time and gently so you don’t break the tabs. Really no magic approach just common sense and patience!
You have to carefully pry with a cellphone/tablet-opening tool. Have to be gentle but slowly work around all edges and it will eventually start to give.

Where can you buy the spring you used or is there any alternatives this is the first gun I’m really modding so I don’t know much
Any compatible spring will work but I went with the one in the video because I had it on hand.

6:45 nice mod it’s looks so cool! But damn man that beat, I already know that’s Kordhell!
Thank you brother!

Also I think I’ll take you up on that Elite Jr. idea!
Man, that Ms a clean mod! Love your enthusiasm for this one 🤟 every blaster deserves a chance! Great job
Thank you brother! Yes they all deserve a chance! I have a few more videos to finish then I’m coming for the Jr. Line 😈 lol.
happy you did this my dude, I knew these things are hard to open and when you do the plunger head isn't like the older blasters and of course the leaf springs thing
Loved this mod. Great video.
Thank you brother
NICE!
I really like the barrel protection sleeve idea ...plus it looks really Slick !!! And it's getting some really good numbers 🌟🌟🌟🔫🔥👍
Thank you! Yeah man I’m very happy with this. Great fun plinking!

Thank you! Yeah solvent welding and clips can be intimidating, but there are ways around everything!
This was an awesome mod! #letsgetit
Not Nuff
Wow that looks sweet. Thanks for giving us the run down on how to get it done.
Thank you brother. Just trying to help folks that can only get the newer stuff. Not everybody has the time and resources to go thrifting all the time.
Thanks For Posting!!

Wouw, another cool video. And easy explanation and easy mod.
What spring did you use
I know exactly zero about soldering and wiring. This is starting to bother me considering I’m getting more into the hobby…
Awesome vid as always!

@@notnuffnerf - That’d be killer. Please do!
Excellent 😊

I just added some glue for extra seal I believe. I have to open it back up cause I don't remember now lol

Damn let me buy it from you lol
Lol. This is my only Volt! I need to get more. Easy mod though. You can do it bro!
Great video but man i wish there was someone to explain how to remove that black handle accent piece
Lots of patience! There is hardly any glue of any at all but just work one side at a time and gently so you don’t break the tabs. Really no magic approach just common sense and patience!
did this guy just make a silencer? for his blaster😊
My volt doesn’t lock back right, if you somehow manage to get it to lock, the slightest movement ends up making the gun shoot
How to remove the black grip when dissasembling
You have to carefully pry with a cellphone/tablet-opening tool. Have to be gentle but slowly work around all edges and it will eventually start to give.
I modified my volt that had a non working laser, and I completely removed it
yeah but... why?
But, why not? 😄
this does not work at all and the gun does not pry evenly at all this video sucks
