This is actually not the first bike/brand to do this. The giant trance x advanced ELITE is essentially the same exact bike but the battery is slightly smaller. Only 400wh but you can get a 250 range extender that adds like a pound to it. It’s a sick bike.

The giant trance is certainly one I'm eyeing. But like you said the 400wh battery is a little small and I'd prefer if the suspension was 160/150 like the cannondale. Those are the two things giving me pause on it. The cannondale hits my preferred suspension strokes but I really don't like any of the frame colors they offer. Really hard to pick a emtb right now. I feel we're right on the cusp of seeing one that's sub 40 lbs with 85nm and a 600wh battery. Once someone realeases
one of those with the right geo they'll have one of the best selling bikes.
