  • A quick video showing how I installed a Raymarine Dragonfly 4 Pro on the 2016 Sea Doo Spark that I fish from. The install was done so that I can remove everything. The only piece to stay on is the transducer, which is installed on the 3-up extension that is not water tight. I still sealed the screws for the transducer mount.

    I used a 12v, 7ah AGM battery
The Dragonfly 4 pro was chosen for its light weight design and features for the money.

I wonder if you can mount that transducer in the inside of the hill like you do on a fiber glass boat. It would protect it a ton

    Excellent video.
Been trying to think of a way to mount my Humminbird helix di on my 19 spark Trix 2 up

Did you ever do this? I’m thinking the same and I want to mount my transducer on the inside of my hill like you can do in a fiberglass boat. Wonder if it will work the same

Hi Brian, I have the same Dragonfly and contemplating on putting it on my Spark or my RXT, after using it a while how did the front panel on the spark hold up with the Dragonfly on it? We often are pounding through some pretty rough water so my concern is that the panel would not be strong enough. Any reason you use the separate battery instead of wiring it into the SeaDoo's electrical system? Any other suggestions/tips for the GPS install or rack build/install?

I backed up that panel with an extra piece of plastic ( you can see in the video) it held up just fine, no stress cracks or anything. I used a separate battery so I wouldn't be pulling off of my starting battery.

Did you experience any issues with the fish finder from the jet outlet

I did, only got a clear picture on screen at very low speeds. It would work once you got up and going but would brake up. If I were to do it again I would get a unit with a thru-hull transducer

How are you securing the rear of the rod rack?

      Hello Brian,
I use a cinch strap (like a ratchet strap only pull to tighten) that hooks onto not rear sides where there is an overhang on the back of the ski.
