The story is complex, the characters are all interesting, maybe a few scenes are a bit overplayed but well why not. Most of today's anime are all about : school girl with skirt + kawai + evil guy + 1337light hero
I like how Lelouch destroyed the Organisation and brought chaos to the world. He also has great evil laughter which rivals my own. In one worldline, I had to cosplay as Zero to help fund my future gadgets. El Psy Kongroo.

That's not so weird. Deathnote was my first, and that's still my no.1, however much I like CG. I think the first really great anime you see is often your all-time-favorite (same goes for games, books, sometimes films).

I don't mind the drum, but I guess it could have benefited with a cello or something with repeating notes instead of the drum. It would have served a similar purpose, and stuck with the melody better.
