I quote this song in everyday conversation more than any other song, there’s just so many amazing bars in this. It’s too good not to. NF has given me an outlet for, as Kyle said, to hear everything I’ve been thinking put into actual words. But his work ethic and strive to do and be something that’s meaningful to him have also motivated me and pushed me to be and do better as well! I’m so grateful for finding his music 🖤🖤🖤

This is the realest song ever. These lines are something you instantly agree with but realize it's so simple. Laid out... every line hits and I feel it every time.

Incredible reaction guys. I loved the whole verse about happiness and joy, especially the part about sleeping with regret. Remember in Mansion, how he had a room full of regrets, and it was hard because that's where he slept...Killer line and now pulling into this song. It made me gasp the first time I heard it.

NF is one of those artist that actually changes people like the moment you start listening to him theres no going back his lyrics pick you up and choke you out making you step back and think about your life I love NF and always will
It's so unique of him to personify all his emotions and pains, giving them form and substance, enough to give us license to give them the face we envision. He is a master storyteller and a savant at relatability.
It’s hard to pick a favorite song from NF but this is definitely at the top of the list. The way that he puts things in perspective most of us can’t put into words. Are you guys going to do any more Twenty One Pilots? Another great reaction to a great song.👍

Kyle, I’m a therapist and I have also used a similar distinction between wanting happiness versus wanting peace of mind. To me, it all stems from peace/quiet/solitude. With peace, real happiness and joy can be real and maybe even last a while. 😉 I love your videos - watching your NF reactions has helped me relive my first listens and amazement with him - tears and snot, too. Keep ‘em coming!

I'll be honest, I think every song on NFs discography is part of the journey. Some songs are more powerful than others, but even some of the songs you missed, that are more hype music, still have a message to them. And they are worth listening too.
I don't want to spoil the journey for you guys so I won't say the song title, but what Eric was saying about happiness made me think of a song further down the journey in which Nate says "Even unhappy people can have happy moments," he just knows exactly what to say every time. He is truly an amazing artist and puts his heart out there for us and it is incredible. Also another great reaction from you two!

I like the call back to Mansion in this song. "Regrets" was the room he slept in. And on a personal note.... I wish the Satan used to be an angel line didn't hit so hard because the line after it is the one I think was more important to him.

NF being NF
I bet you didn't know, "people change, even Satan used to be an angel", wasn't written originally for this song...I've listened to him ever since his first album, "Moments" came out in 2010 and remember how hard that line hit when he said it for the first time, then. There are a couple other bars, of his, that have been recycled to his new stuff, but the impact is still as profound.
In the video, "When I Grow Up", where Nate is in the car, trying to hand off a CD to the male passenger, and there are 2 female teenagers in the back seat with CD's, holding them, looking at them, it says "Moments"; that's his first album...I love the reference to his pre "Mansion" life. My ultimate love for NF is that everything really does tie together, for him. Welcome to the NF family, guys!

I am right there with you guys. I am 62 and I don't what the hell is going on? Such a dope song. Every bar is a gem. Yes, there are more versus, so to speak. Some of the songs on The Search have the same sentiment. I Miss the Days, Nate, and Only all shoot arrows of wisdom into our souls.
I love this journey! I don't think I've seen anyone do the classic NF journey. Don't know exactly which songs you are gonna listen to, personally the NF journey for me encapsulates all of The Search and Clouds. All the songs just fit together in a perfect harmony imo. But I love the content! Keep up the greatness!

I write and there's a point where if you have something you're trying to tell people or share a feeling or story of someone else's, the point can easily be missed with out the bigger picture coming to a clearer view with the music put with word's and the delivery is amazing the combination of all of it coming together is excellent, that's what music like this is for to help reach people that don't have anywhere or anyone else to turn to for relief from their own mental health. Y'all are great.
I'm completely convinced NF has synesthesia he is just too good at describing human emotions hell humans in general. He has definitely mastered the skill of knowing the human condition he's spot on how most of us feel. If you guys haven't heard Jordan Petersons thoughts on happiness you should take a listen he talks about happiness is not something to pursue its fleeting strive for meaning in your life and be grateful for the moments of happiness you have. Wait til y'all get to "I Miss The Days" one of my favorites I will say I cry on that one so prepare well it hit me differently due to what I was going through in my personal life so you may not tear up but its amazing. I love how you guys have a religious nature about ya'll I see the love you two have for God.
