I bought my IPad Pro through apple refurbished program and I gotta say….. I am impressed for how clean and prestige the product look. It’s like buying a new product w/out spending that much money. Great video Gary. Keep up the good work.
They put them in new cases and a new battery. I’ve had 2 iPad mini 2s and a 10.5in iPad Pro for my dad that way. All were as new. The minis are still fine for Netflix, newspapers, web etc. and more than 6 years old. I just took one for a week in Spain as it’s book value is about £25. My IPad Pro, its cases and smart keyboards are worth a lot (high spec).
Watching while studying on my 14” MBP. Best laptop I’ve ever used in my 43 years, hands down. I have the base M1 Pro and it still blazes through everything I do.
I considered waiting for a refurbished 16” MacBook Pro, but decided to buy one new. I’m still glad I got it new, I needed the machine and the savings aren’t THAT good.
Currently using the 8-Core GPU Air with 16gb RAM. I was able to stack a military discount with the refurbished store, and I think it's such an incredible value.

This is the issue with having all the computer tech inside the Studio monitor. Hence I may need to swap out my great MBP13 from work, and the hub, with the newer MBP14 as it can feed the studio monitor and the Dell via HDMI or get a Mac mini or even the basic new studio Mac as we get great discounts at the Uni where I work. I've heard that the thermals aren't as good as the 16" MacBook Pro. I have a 17" laptop now so the 14" would be a little small for me and I'm retired so I don't need to carry it around. I have been looking at the refurbished inventory and I saw a 16" base model for $2249. The lowest price I've seen on Amazon was $2299 but right now I think the price is around $2250 if you get a prime card. Not bad.
Late to the party, just watched this, then checked the refurbished stock, ordered a 14” m1 pro with 1 tb disk for same price as the m2 air with same specs. Coming from a 2108 Mac Pro I think it’s time to upgrade
I bought the base 16" MBP at MicroCenter (Rockville MD, not Parkville) as an open box just after Christmas for about 12% off. Great deals can be had, especially if you're patient.
Yep just received my 16" M1 Pro MacBook Pro with 32GB unified memory from Apple refurbished. Looks brand new plus saved me $400 and multiple weeks wait for a new one.
I have the same configuration and it is not a good deal, battery life is around 2:30 hours during any serious work, or using poorly optimised apps, the small form factor cant use the full potential of 32 cores. If you want power with 14" definitely should go with 24 core version.
You still got 10% off regular retail price so not terrible. As long as you're happy with it. I bought mine a couple of days after they were announced last year, but I don't mind having paid retail price. I also got AppleCare because I've had a screen go bad on a Macbook before and it's worth the price.
The downside of buying refurbished is Apple doesn't have the financing program for them, so you're paying full price out of pocket. I love having an apple card so I can make payments on my equipment.
Hahah I literally did this on Wednesday. I was just about to purchase from apple and wait 40+ days and then decided, wait let me check the refurbished store. My M1 Max configuration was right there. I had it in my hands 2 days later and saved a few hundred $$ in the process. Win win!
I had ordered a configured M1 Max end of march but when I saw tons of messages about orders even being delayed and apple also notifying me it would take until end of june for mine to be shipped, I cancelled the order. Now I'm waiting for my refurbished (for two more days only) .... so excited

Guys if you are looking at the base model macbook pro's or like any of the common configs, you can typically get them at costco for quite a good deal BRAND NEW. I was able to snag a brand new MBP 14 base for $1750 as every two or three weeks costco likes to slash the price an extra $200 on top of the $50 they already discount. I know best buy also commonly puts the MBP pro on deal as well but with costco, you get a much better return and warrenty policy.
