GZ reminds me so much of the Singapore I grew up in! There's a neighbourly homey feel there. Moving is always hard and overwhelming, glad you are more settled down now! Also, that hair cut is 😍😍😍
I think this is the first China apartment video where I'm seeing apartments within my price range. Tight spaces, buildings with paint peeling off, etc. It's really good to know that guangzhou has a lower price range available... But are such buildings generally available to foreigners who don't speak Chinese? In Thailand I found that sometimes buildings like that didn't wanna rent to foreigners.... It was kind of weird
Im crying because i'm supposed to move to Guangzhou this september, but my life went to a whole new direction but i hope i'll be also back to china, specifically Gz because it's literally my second home and the joy i feel in there, i'll never be able to fee anywhere else i guess
Welcome to GZ! I've lived here 1 year so far and there are lots of things I like about it. Would love to know if you plan to carry on your cookie business here, they looked really good in your previous video 😊🍪
Thank you🥰 I have been taking a break from cookies since leaving Beijing, but haven't quite figured out what to do with the business yet...will keep you posted:)
Love to see and learn more about China!! I found watching the video the footage was a bit fast and shaky 😅 like when you showed the apartments it would be nice if you could take the shot slower or just take a still shot 😊 It was like really spin spin spin haha
hahah excited for you to turn the apartment nice and cozy! Lol it looked like someone just lived there (and work from home) with whatever need and didn't care about how it looked I upgraded the kitchen with my flatmate last year (new) and have seen then been cooking so much much more! Just some tiles and deco + organisers
These videos are so interesting! Your food looks delicious, love the second hand market and you were drinking a beer in there? I've never really seen that too often in China. I've thought about it but thought people would think, "look at this crazy American." lol
Nice too see that you are united again😀. A few years ago I had to move 5 !times because at first we could not find something long-term after moving out of a flat share to live with my partner and after finding a long-term Appartment finally, we stayed 1 night and found out that there was a big issue with the bathroom (including structure)on move in day. So they provided replacement, but only for a few weeks, then we had to move to another replacement...and 1 move turnt into 4(!) .year of hell 😃🤣
Great to see this video, I have been visiting Beijing for the past week and the city feel different after Covid. Tomorrow I will head to Qingdao as a potential new destination to live 🎉

Love how you're looking at life as a journey where you're taking each path as a teaching experience .
Doing the best we can😊
“I view them as tour guides” 😂😂 I loved that so much! I totally agree. What other way can you really get a sense of the city?!
Hhahaha right? agent fees are not cheap...might as well!

廣州沒北京上海那麼摩登,但卻多了份人味
老广州的烟火气
想念中国菜市场的种类繁多。没有孩子的时候人生有无限可能。
