    How to clean and maintain your Wahl Elite Pro Clippers. Its not a difficult process but its one that should be done every now and then to keep the clippers running smoothly. Simply remove the two Phillips head screws from the bottom of the cutting head foot plate and remove the foot plate and cutting blade. Clean out any bits of hair that have collected on the cutting blade or inside the head of the clippers. Once they are clean replace the parts in the opposite order they came apart and re-oil the blade. Test the clippers out by plugging them in and running them for a few seconds to ensure everything operates the way they should.

    Thank you so much for this video, You should consider doing instructions and tests for other styles and brands of shavers!

    I have been using Walh brand for many years. I've tried other inexpensive brands like Conair and Remington. Remington are okay but prefer Wahl. I cut my son's hair about once a month and I cut mine once a week. The Clippers usually last me a little over a year. The blades is what usually goes out. Never had a problem with the motor. Currently own the Elite Pro have had them for a little over 2 years but once again the blades are starting to fail. I'm thinking about purchasing the Whal Senior 5 star pro but I was trying to find out if the blades can be replaced.

    Hey that’s a useful video you made there, I’m waiting for mine to arrive all the barber shops have been closed for 6 weeks where I live (U.K. Covid), I usually go for a tight cut so I’m hoping these will get the job done. I know nothing about clippers or cutting hair, my only requirement when buying was - no Chinese crap (I’ve seen plenty of their products fail after no time at all), and if these are anything like my Rigid Industry spot lamps on my motorcycle (made in the USA) I’ll be happy👍🇬🇧

      Ive changed my daily clipper from this to the wahl Senior cordless. I still have this one as my back up clipper should I ever need it again.

    Is it a bad idea to run water over it to clean it?
    I think the Wahl Elite Pro is the best Value for a home kit, I just got it.

      well, Im not sure Id recommend it only because im not 100% sure it wouldn't harm it. I use an old tooth brush and oil it before or after every use. If you hold it cutting head down so water doesn't run back into the motor it probably wouldn't hurt it but you would definitaly want to oil it after. In my opinion a small brush and oil does just fine and I wouldn't take the chance.

    Hi, since you have made this video some time ago I wonder, how long would this machine would last if used 3 times a month? Thank you very much.

      It should be able to work 3 times a month at the least, These are supposed to built to be used daily if needed and maintained properly.

    Hello, really nice review!
    Do you know the blade is replaceable with the professional Wahl blade? For example with Tapper 2000 blade?

    • @WindersRanger

      I imagine they are replaceable but I couldn’t say with which kinds

    What type of screw driver did you use? Philips?

    What oil to use when you run out of the 1 included and the code length?

    • @WindersRanger
      @WindersRanger  3 года назад

      a good three in one oil will work. Id stay away from things like WD40 which is a penetrating oil more than a lubricant.

    Hello! I just ordered this and was looking at reviews, why there are so many bad reviews about this clipper? Quality control failed? I've read that the clippers fail after one use. Is it because some clippers were left loose on their blades and got stuck?

    • @WindersRanger
      @WindersRanger  4 года назад +1

      Its really not a bad clipper depending on what you intend to use it for. For personal use it did fine for me. It did miss a few hairs now and then but most of the clippers and trimmers ive used all have missed a few hairs now and then. If you're looking for something more on the professional side these might be okay but they are probably on the lower end of the professional spectrum I think.

      @WindersRanger  4 года назад +1

      I brush off the excess hair after every use and re-oil them. maybe once a year or so Ill take them apart and clean the hair out of the body.

    Also, how do i make the close/open lever more loose?

    • @WindersRanger
      @WindersRanger  5 лет назад

      Hmmm Ill have to look at mine to be sure. I would say you might loosen the screw on the side of the level just a bit and that should do it.

    Iv got the wahl chrome kit pro. I may buy the elite pro. How do you find those elite pro clippers working for you?

    • @CONald_is_A_false_Prophet
      @CONald_is_A_false_Prophet 6 лет назад +1

      It's a noticeable step up for home use. They are more powerful and glide through hair much easier. If you cut your own hair at home often I would recommend them. The Home Pro and the Chrome Pro are good but the Elite is definitely better.
