A timely update on shoes :-)
As a UK resident, I've noticed over the last (no pun intended) 5 -10 years that shoe makers like TLB, Carlos Santos, Carmina et al have really taken the GW factory made shoes to the next level. I still have some loyalty to British/English makers like Loake and Crockett and Jones, but, I am seeing thee quality/bang for buck coming from Europe. Thanks to you, Vlad, I'm also a split toe derby fan.
    Enjoying your continued content.
    x
    Tony

Damn, 6th pair of TLB's. I remember the video of your first one and that you double checked to see if it wasn't a scam. Time flies.
    My list:
    - dark brown oxford
    - black oxford
    - leather split toe derby
    - suede split toe derby
    - dark brown suede loafers/double monks

Captoe or quarter brogues for both the oxfords. Split toe derbies can be either dark brown or even black. Hatchgrain works very well as well, I'm looking to buy a pair at one point. Tassel or penny loafers. I have both but I have a soft spot for my penny ones.
At the moment I'm more focused on saving to get my first Rolex. I should get it in March or April

My top 5 shoes, in order:
    1. Brown quarter brogue on a rubber sole.
    2. Black cap toe Oxford.
    3. Black Chelsea boot.
    4. Dark brown monk strap (single or double)
    5. Brown Country boot in grain leather, preferably a derby boot on a wider last to accommodate thicker socks and a double rubber sole to rise you off the cold ground.
The reason I have the Brown brogue as number one is because it's much more versatile- wearing it with some nice jeans or a pair of flannel trousers looks looks very good.

I love TLB and I have you to thank for that.
I wore custom whole cuts to my wedding. They went well with my tux.
    My TLB collection:
    - Burgundy Jodphur boots
    - Burgundy Single Monk Strap
    - Black wholecuts
    - suede Navy loafers with a brown tassle
    - Black hatch grain horsebit loafers
    - I ordered my best man a custom black cap toe oxford.
The single monk strap were a replacement for my 204 ARTISTA (single monk strap with a split toe). My caveman feet were too much for the stitching. I sent an email to Tony and he offered a replacement. The guy is A1 in customer service.
My next pair might be a suede monk strap. Or maybe i finally pick up the brown tassle loafers. The 144 ARTISTA look pretty nice but the toe might be a smidge too pointy for my casual wear.
    My 5 must haves:
    - Black cap toe oxford
    - Light or medium Brown monk straps
    - Brown suede Oxfords with broguing
    - Black horsebit loafer
    - Oxblood monk straps
I'd add brown chelsea boot to the list.

I bought that GMTO Carlos Santos black cap toe and I thank you for it. Gorgeous shoe. I am always the best shoed man at any wedding or funeral, by a mile. I want to work it into more of my rotation, but I work in construction and even at the management level, it’s way more formal than anything else i see. But I may just plow forward and rock it.
I’m looking for a loafer for my wife and may need to reach out to TLB for something customized. Carminas have been too narrow for her. Gorgeous but really unrealistic.

suit was never invented for business or formal occasions - it was invented for leisure and relaxation. It was an ordinary, inconspicuous garment at a time when men would dress in tailcoats to go out in the mornings/evenings. Examples from the past of well-dressed men wearing oxford shoes/boots with less-than-suits are as multitudinous, ignore most the rules you read on styleforum and just use classic menswear as an inspiration because it seems you let styleforum program your aesthetic preferences
