I know a lot of people aren't happy with Emily's performance of Given Up, mostly because most people still seem to forget that Chester also didn't perform the scream most of the time. However, Emily's version of Given Up hits me really hard, not harder than Chester's, but still really hard. Another good thing to point out is that she was sick during the show in Seoul and you can honestly hear that.
The fact that she was sick and did so well is truly remarkable. It's nice that it hits you really hard and it doesn't matter if other people see it that way, right? :)
I honestly like that she breaks it up into 2 screams. I still think the La Forum Concert, when she preformed this song for the first time, was the best. Idk if you saw that already, but she started out really high with the scream then did this amazing low guttural scream to finish it off. Man She Just has crazy lungs. I mean again she was sick for this one in Seoul, and I still think she kicked butt on it, still loved it 🔥🤘🏻LP released some of the audio of this one, from the camera that was filming Colin, & it’s takes away the crowd noise so you can hear Emily much better & you can tell she did it justice.
