And its missing opentherm support and water heat control for the system are an optional to Xtra cost feature. Not sure the colour screen has any benefit. Amazed qnyone but castle owners with holes in the roof next to a gale needs a 30kw or even 23kw system boiler
I would love to see a boiler installed in a castle, but you are correct that is mostly the case nowadays, oversizing to future proof, would you rather be oversized or undersized in a few years. Opentherm admittedly is a shame on the Worcester Range but with the introduction of their own stat with BUS language, could be a game changer since this video was released.
@@iheat This relies on other thermostats having support for just one boiler maker. In the Netherlands, they just mandated Opentherm support and BW offers that feature but not the UK or Ireland. Is BW saying that the concept OT is trying to end up with better gas efficiency is wrong? Why make a Boiler+ standard and then make OT optional to install. Even then Hive does not even support OT like many other "smart" thermostats.
I have one i was told the best thing to do is set your home temp its going to come on as low as possible so in the summer months unless the temps were going to drop below 15 the heating wont come on other than that you can turn it off when your out
Currently want to replace my thermostat for this boiler to a modulating one. Currently have an wireless ESI thermostat, and have 2 external cables (not wires) going into the receiver. One cable to the boiler and one to power which I presume also powers up the 4000. So want to replace all with EasyControl Thermostat and use a RF key instead of directly wiring it into the boiler. Does anyone know if this straightforward
Hey this means an issue with the RF signal, this could be your thermostat batteries dying or the thermostat is just too far away from the receiver. Try move it closer, check the batteries - if still proceeds could be other RF signals blocking the thermostat signal, try remove any other RF devices from the room

How do you reset this boiler?
On the Worcester 4000 control panel, simply hold down the up and down keys until RESET is displayed. Your appliance will now restart
How do I turn the radiators off? It’s just been installed but I can’t turn the radiators off.

What does A21 mean on my boiler

If I buy this boiler from I heat does it work with open therm if I use Google nest 3rd.
Hi Dave. Unfortunately Worcester Bosch isn't compatible with Open Therm, however our range of Ideal and Viessmann boilers are!
😊
Thank you for your comment!!
No compatibility with open therm either. Moderation drop not great.
Exactly why I went with a Viessmann instead. I also have 2 zones, and Worcester offer no compatible modulating solution for multi zones.
Aluminium heat exchanger and plastic parts to save money while premium brands use stainless steel and brass parts.
Quite? It's outrageously loud.
