- Learn how to make a homemade peach cobbler just like grandmas. This recipe includes a buttery deluxe pie crust that pairs up so well with the peaches. This is a peach cobbler recipe with canned peaches since fresh peaches weren't available. You can also use fresh peaches just be sure to simmer them until soft.
This recipe is an old fashioned style cobbler with a double, pie-like crust instead of the typical biscuit-like crust. The crust has a rich, buttery taste with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on the the bottom and top of crust. The peaches are simmered in their own juices with butter, warm spices, sugars, and vanilla.
This peach cobbler recipe is easy, full of flavor, and as old fashioned as it gets! Serve it up with some ice cream after a hearty meal. Southern food at it's finest!

Am i the only man that follows her recipes!?? lol i try to ignore when she says ok divas. but in my family the men are the ones to usually do all the cooking, and she by far have all the best recipes..especially for us southern who are very particular about flavor..we want to taste every bite..from the smell while its cooking, until the after taste lol.
Calvin Emery 😂😂😂😂😂
absolutely 👌👏👏
Calvin Emery no calvin count me in
There's nothing like a southern man that cooks!
Delicious pie
All my recipes are copyrighted, which means as long as you copy them right they are all yours lol (can you tell I've been waiting to use that line? I'm so corney)
😄😄😄
I've made this cobbler a few times and my family loves it! My husband didn't even like peach cobbler so I made him taste it and now he's always asking me when I'm going to make it again! Thanx for this recipe. The crust is marvelous!!!
This crust was delish! Took me 3 times to succeed making my own crust, but I finally got it!
Thank you!
Just made this an hour ago. It was so easy and I nailed it!! I have to stop myself from eating the whole thing tonight ( I live alone).
Thank you, I never thought I could bake something so good.
@karenbee1996 Yeah, actually the one with the drop dough is true cobbler because the surface has a "cobbled" appearance when it's cooked. In the south, a peach pie is often referred to as peach cobbler.
I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it especially with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was so good! I'm making it again for Easter. I'm a Caribbean girl but I LOVE southern food and I've been able to recreate my favorite dishes by following your recipes. Thank you for sharing and keep it up!
Now that is a peach cobbler! If someone is using store bought ready crust, it’s not cobbler. Thank you for an authentic cobbler recipe! Looks delicious! That’s exactly how I do mine!
hi...love your cooking! i'm a southern cook, raised on southern foods. i've made this several times and a tip to making it really homemade but quik and convenient is to add fresh peaches, cooking half and then add to canned peaches. adds more concentrated peachy flavor. great job!
Just took it out the oven && tried it all I can say is OMG ! Try this people best peach cobbler i've ever tasted. My mom, bro, sis, && I are working on our 3rd plate. Thanks so much.
This is EXACTLY like the cobbler I remember eating as a child! Total comfort food! I use a baking pan instead of a pie pan and then layer the dough strips and peaches in the pan, absolutely delicious! This time I added the extra sugar/cinnamon and sprinkled it on the dough. It was so much better! Quit dissing this recipe, folks! This is IT! I've made it three times now and people RAVE about it! :)
This is a cobbler, I used this exact recipe and put it in a pan instead of pie dish and its a HIT at ALL family functions.
I liked your pie crust recipe. Just a tip...if you use a little extra flour when rolling out your pie crust it wont be as sticky and itll be easier to handle :) Looks yummy
I agree....this is the BEST RECIPE...I will try this soon! Thanks Monique

thank you for sharing!!!!!
Monique, thank you so so much, I'm from Venezuela and I married a southern men, with your recipes I can give him some nice surprises and make him feel a little bit more at home...Eres fabulosa, gracias!!!
Hey Monique,
Whenever I baked pies from the store i normally dont eat the crust but when i made this receipe here, I ate the whole slice of pie, crust and all, love it
Looks good.
The one thing that I have learned about making a fruit cobbler. To avoid your pie from drying out by the next day. I pour all of my juice in with my peaches or any fruit. I use fresh or frozen peaches. I don't care for cobbler that has very little juice. It is not as juicy the next day. I fill mine almost to the rim. It stays juicy for days.
LOL how old is he? Thanks for the love and support. It makes me glad to hear that I'll have more than just my family interested in my cookbook lol
My wonderful baby girl, and boss is craving peach cobbler and asked me to make one. I went straight to you for a recipe and will make it tomorrow.
Made it for Independence Day 2022..yummmm!
Thank you for sharing so simply ,step by step !
Monique, you are amazing. I learn so much more from you than from watching the Food Network. I can't thank you enough for helping me out!!!
Looks very very good...Your grandmother got it going! Thanks!
I'm in tears of joy! Thank you! Thank you!! I can't tell you how long I've searched for the right recipe. This tasted unbelievable!
I cant wait til I become a master at cooking like this. This is one of my favorite deserts. My family is from the south and we love foods like this. best cook on the net! Hope you get your own show
love this recipe girl been using it for the last three years &&every year it's a hit ... && it's very simple to follow 🙏🙌👌😍😍
Oh my goodness Monique, you're awesome girl. I grew up watching my southern grandmother and mama make all kinds of pies. I learned how to make the pies and cobblers but was always intimidated by making the pie crust from scratch due to laziness and being a perfectionist. Since I was a teenager I've been making all kinds of pies with Pillsbury dough....until now. I finally decided to make my own dough and thanks to your perfect pie crust recipe, I'll never buy store bought again. Thank you. :-)
+Lacy Siggins yayyy this makes me so happy!!❤️
May 2020 looking for quarantine dessert. This is a oldy but goody.
This is the very best cobbler I have ever made, thanks. I make this often enough.
I tried it and it’s delicious! Thank you so much, my husband loves it
Excellent job! I can't wait to make this in 2 1/2 weeks (after my photo shoot)! Can't make it tonight because I will eat the whole thing by MYSELF!
I love peach crumble! I had it for the first time a few weeks ago.
My husband made this and it was amazing! Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!
OMG!! I made this peach cobbler tonight. I couldn't believe that I made it. Wow! This was so simple and delicious. Thanks Diva!
@HOOSIE6 I wouldn't even worry about the nutmeg if you don't have it. I've skipped it before and it came out fine. I personally wouldn't use allspice because I don't like the way it taste with peaches.
yayyy! I'm so glad you are lovin the recipes thus far. Thanks for trying them out.
@hollagurl154 hmmm...you can def. increase the spices and sugar. Before you pour it into the pie crust give it a taste and make sure it's sweetened and spiced to your liking. Be careful not to add too much sugar and spice though, the cobbler will taste much sweeter when it's cooled off.
Yes, this the good old fashioned way just like grandma's. My fam is always asking me to bring the peach cobbler for thanksgiving and christmas festivities. From looking at ur videos there are more options to choose from so the fam will be in for a new treat this year.

@TotallyTyra unsalted. I always use unsalted unless a recipe strongly stresses to use salted butter.
@luvleeballa22 The complete recipe (as well as all my video recipes) can be found on my blog. You'll also find an alternative style cobbler crust there, in case you prefer a biscuit style cobbler
I’m using this crust tonight but with 🍒 cherries! I’ll give an update!
You are the bomb.com, you hear me!!! You are my go to for everything!! I’m about to make this as soon as my shortening gets cold. Lol.

Oh my goodness, thank you for this! I am actually planning on cooking a peach cobbler tomorrow. Your instructions are fantastic and very helpful as I have never made one before.
This is more like a peach "pie" to me than a "cobbler" but either way it looks delicious! I plan to make a pot of Southern Green Beans, your homemade mac & chz, yeast rolls & this recipe for tomorrow's dinner. =) Thanx 4 posting & sharing ur recipes with us.

Great way to make it n easy girl love it
Peach cobbler...huh...looks delicious and yes it's me old friend..how have you been ??
You said you didn't know if you were pronouncing lattice correctly... the only word I could think of off the top of my head that lattice rhymes with, so you know you're saying it right, is Gladys(Knight), but instead of the d sound it would be the t sound. This video was has been posted almost a year ago so someone may have already told you how to pronounce it. But anyway I love your videos... you do an awesome job... very funny and you have a wonderful personality!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
U r such a big help! Thank you!!!
Been looking for a double crust peach cobbler recipe made with canned peaches. Perfect, thank you!
I'm glad to see you making an old fashioned peach pie, all the other recipes use a biscuit type dough or a runny cake looking typ dough.
Yours is delicious
I didn't cook the peaches oops! I hope it turns out right.
Oh! Oh my. That looks good. I'm thawing my peaches from last season now.
