AND WE BACK! Been working a ton lately but I am finally getting the hang of things! Do you have any anamorphic recommendations?? I want to try more lenses!
The more I understand how lenses work, I start to realize that what creates a much more pleasing image, isn’t necessarily depth of field, it’s compression. When you compress an image from 35 mm to 22 mm it has such a beautiful distinct look. That’s why full frame has an advantage over crop sensor in my opinion, it’s just harder to achieve that level of beauty without utilizing compression which is always limited by crop sensor.
Good morning Chris and hope all is more than well with you! I’m reaching out because I’d like your help. I’ve invested quite heavily in my DJI Ronin Cine 4D system in addition to other equipment too in the Blackmagic ecosystem. But in regards to the Cine 4D I could really use your advice and some direction?
Another great inspirational video Chris! I bought this exact same neutral flare Sirui 35mm T2.9 lens late last year and I absolutely love it! Easilly my most favorite lens that I own now and I have many lenses including Sony G Masters and regular G's. I also have the Sirui T2.9 50mm and 100mm which are much bigger and heavier but they are still really great lenses, just not meant for gimbal work. I normally use the 35mm on my DJI RS3 gimbal with my FX3 using a focus motor and my 50 & 100 on a tripod with my two A7IV's. The 100 gets some really beautiful out of focus boka even at T2.9! Here's a sneak peak at a couple scenes from my upcoming mini documentary where I used all three of these lenses. What do you think? As a long-time viewer of your channel, I feel the need to say that your last images feel significantly less cinematic and impressive than before, since you use the Ronin 4D. I guess how convinient this tool might be on a daily basis, but I just noticed the overall downgrade. I hope I don't sound mean ! Just and external look :)

I genuinely enjoy your videos. Your voice, edit, content are all enjoyable.

Welcome to the party. I snagged the 50/T2.9 and it's been a gas.
I'd say 2.85:1 is a bit too wide for my taste. 2.4:1 seems to be the golden ratio. Maybe 2.65:1 is still ok, but anything wider looks a bit weird.
lol you said no to Sirui that is too funny 😂😂😂 I’m glad you did review this it is a nice lens
Seriously! It turns out that they were right, very fun lens to use!
Can’t wait for cat b-roll in the next video!
