That front facing car cam through the dunes was awesome.

Thanks! That whole section of off-road driving is stunning.

I loved your video. It was super well done. I loved the fact that you also are telling us that a 4 by 4 is not really necessary.
When are you going back? You did a great movie, thank you.

Amazing to see the site busy with trade and tourists. Someone needs to open a repair shop.

Yes, it's great! I think some information signs would be really useful at this site, to explain the Star Wars context for visitors without a guide.

Great video! Did it in a battered Clio a couple of years back, and I'm a fecking wimp when it comes to driving, so yes, can be done in a regular car.

Now that's a bit more of an adventure. Proper Mongol Rally style! Was the road out to Mos Espa built back then?

Really helpful to watch before going to the actual place, which we visited 3 days ago from Tozeur. The place is exactly as you described and the local people are still trying to make a living selling pics with young fennecs, riding camels and selling minerals. No one is agressive though and everything is perfectly safe. We went late in the evening and the sunset was quite spectacular there. Overall this was a great experience. Thanks again.

Glad you found the video helpful! Lookout for my Bradt Travel Guide to Tunisia (1st Edition) which should be published early next year!

Constructing and maintaining the paved road that leads from Nefta to the Mos Espa marketplace film site is a critical Tozeur Governorate infrastructure project designed to enhance tourism in the area. All of the Star Wars film sites in Tunisia can be visited independently. Tour guides are always an option (but not a necessity).
