Great update Jack! I'm a silent lurker on your vids but just wanted to say i've had great experiences with DIY kitchens - for the price the units are really good quality compared to many cheap end competitors, I had a piece arrive incorrectly and they got me a replacement within a week. The only issues i had with them was that i was doing my kitchen during covid so they had huuuuge lead times, not sure what their current situation is. Enjoy your content as an engineer and someone who's interested in getting into property with a bit more cash behind me
Great video mate, been binging on your channel and loving the great info you're sharing. A nice composite deck would go great in front of the door leading onto the garden so your not walking out directly onto steps 🙂
Leave the fire surround, unless your removing the chimney breast. Heard good things about DIY but as always your need extra panels or a cabinet ect.... with Howden you'll get it that or at the very worst a day or later. I don't if there would be a delay with DIY. They mat be quick with courier delivery. If anyone has experience with this from DIY I'd be interested....usually go with howdens most builders know there system and is usually less hassle in the end
Great walk around, but PLEASE don’t do steps off the bi fold. The garden is big enough to do a 2 to 3 meter deck (cheaper than a raised patio) then wide steps down. Steps straight off the bi folds will spoil what is looking like a brilliant renovation

I agree, I’d quite like to paint it and keep it there as a nice feature

Yes been a very busy few weeks but glad to be back in it! Hopefully sharing a bit more of my day to day soon 🙏🏼
Empty for 4 years? Did you get the contractors to charge reduced rate vat? Cheeky wee saving there if you didn’t 👌
With the bathroom being so small and the bedroom next to it being huge did you not consider an en suite?
Hi jack what was the width and length of the extension ? Also what will the extension cost ?
6m wide, 3m length. I’ll do a breakdown of all costs in another video once it’s all done 👌🏼
Ok thanks . Great video btw

Great point! We actually were thinking about exactly what you described with composite decking. Great shout!
