I know right? I've got thalassophobia (fear of deep water), but IGP's and Dre's banter and shenanigans made this bearable.
😂 you guys getting scared about the whale shark is funny as hell. Like they are literally one of the most peaceful sharks. I will say ocean games like this freak me out so much.

@@owarihybrid4483 Not 100% but I think it's more any kind of water-based diet does that. Your stomach needs a decent amount of solids to help with digestion, IIRC

The ocean has always been one of the most brilliant displays of horror possible. It's so near to everyone, especially in the modern age yet, we know so little. Such a simple concept but, effective all the same! Love the content, keep it up
True. At least we can infer based on ecological and physical facts that a lot of the more... *concerning* fears aren't really possible (full-on Krakens are a no go because they wouldn't have enough to eat down there).
I have a severe phobia of the ocean after getting pulled out to sea after swimming too far when I was on vacation in Florida. Thankfully someone saw me and I was swimming against the current with all of my might so someone came to rescue me.
But even if that wasn’t the case I still feel like I would be afraid of the Ocean. It’s just such a hostile environment to us full of such mysterious and terrifying things. It’s a very justified fear.
@@FrostReave yea I live in Florida I love swimming in currents but if u don’t know what ur doing u can die in seconds when I was younger I was tubing in rainbow river w family and the current got me while I was ahead of the tubes and my dad had to save me and we both almost drowned bc I was holding on to his back holding him down we were struggling so hard and kept sinking down bc we were so exhausted finally we were able to grab a branch and wait for the tubes to catch up
@@ThatNofbody I was born and raised in Ohio so it was the 1st time I saw the ocean. I was a child so I barely understood how easy it would be to get dragged out into the open ocean. I don’t know why everyone finds swimming in the ocean so enjoyable.
@@FrostReave I love it but yea ofc I understood that a lot of people die here from currents especially tourists it’s very common but most the time the currents aren’t ripping like that but near piers and stuff when the tides moving that’s when it’s the worst
Drae's "I'm just grabbing things" and then popping out of the water with a giant crate, and his maniacal laughter after spearing a bat from the air multiple times is peak chaotic.

As a marine biologist seeing IGP and Drae freaking out over a whale shark encounter was so funny and I laughed when Drae named the shark in the beginning Bruce. I hope we see a part two to this video because this was really funny 😂

Your thinking too big here just that tiny raft for the entire episode.
The average person can go something like a few weeks without food, and a few days without water. IGP and Drae, despite this, would be dead in under a day.
@@Griff1011 a human can live a maximum of 1 month without food and 4 days without water.

This game is a LOT different than it used to be. Looks like its come a long way.
The whole tiny raft scene is priceless. From yelling not to step on the starfish thing and stepping on it himself to getting on the raft and not being able to paddle so he starts swinging at the raft trying to break it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love this game. I would adore seeing more from this, it's one of my favorite games (both for its ridiculously chaotic moments and the survival/crafting aspect), and to see it topped off with you and Drae's humor would be a treat.

As someone with intense thlassiphobia, stranded Deep is one of my worst fears.
This was the BEST survival video I have EVER seen.
The raft floats away...the single floating wood raft they built to replace it can't be steered...all the important stuff is left on the first island...a storm kicks up while they are in the middle of the ocean...sharks...massive crabs...snakes...and IGP gets the runs from coconuts.
All within the first day and a half. LOLOLOLOL!

As someone with thalassophobia I tried playing this game but was almost comatose with fear when I had to leave my island. As I was paddling along an unseen force knocked me into the water and I immediatly extited the game and haven’t played since.

it always makes my day when IGP uploads. i don't watch very many gaming youtubers (at least consistently) but i can always count on IGP's videos to be entertaining and worthwhile to watch. definitely one of those grab a snack and hop along for the ride kind of things, especially with the atmospheric editing.

Sharks are a major fauna type encountered in Stranded Deep. They can be found in any part of the ocean - both shallow and deep. The type of shark that can be found depends on the location being explored.
