Thank you , I have a hot air station I set it for 300c and air flow set to 1 and timed it at 1 min it took about 3 times to get it right but both phones are working once again just thought I would share again thank you

SlimLyn08 What he did was basically a reflow. These LG phones are infamous for the chips to loose contact with the pcb. Meaning he just melted the lead so it will hopefully make the chips/smd and the board create proper contact. Im not sure but the processor is usually the culprit here. It looks like he heated it thru the back, directly opposite the processor. The spray is probably contact cleaner, like a degreaser.
the way you treated the culprit the problem will come back as soon as this phone gets hot or u play games regularly. your phone is now like nokia 3310. you must not use heavy processing apps or games now. use it just for calls and sms, if u can him alive for a while. regards.

My V10 is dead. I was playng Asphalt 8 and I press the power button and it turn off. After this the phone doesn't work. It doesn't load in the USB and the PC has nothing. It's completly dead. why is it only temporary fix? Looks like area with small discrete resistors/capacitors were heated to reflow the solder, so it should be good repair? I can understand why reflowing bga chip is only temporary fix, but discrete components should be easier to reflow.
From everything I've read it is temporary. The problem lies in the processor heating up too much and then cooling. The contacts fail (solder) So the real fix is, as mentioned, removing cleaning and resolderingthe processor. Leaving a good solder should then prevent a futurw reoccurance.
