@@hoosier_dad yea. I play tons of other games, I do miss having him around to hang with. His memory will live on with me, and a video featuring him will always remain in my channel in memory.
I lost my father who played when I was super young. I learned to play from him and try to play when I can now. I hear the UO music and feel the nostalgia and memories. It’s beautiful

Always used to make me emotional listening to this in the game many many years ago I’m almost 75 years old now and when I was playing Ultima Online I think I had 14 accounts. I was Wizzie… Used to love making town books…I would stay hidden in my little shop and work day in and day out for the players. I miss it so much but would never go back now I want to hold onto the memories that I have.

I know the few of us that are left will always remember the day Wizzie really left our shard. Never again will there be a place like Wizzie's shop in Luna. The Luna Icon fell today and Luna just wont be the same again without.

Ultima Online has one of the best musical soundtracks in medieval fantasy gaming. This is actually the spark of charm that draws me back in most of the time... that music. Followed by thoughts of charming o'l days of actual experience.
These days it feels mostly lost. UO Outlands is probably the only one that really makes it feel homely on a good track (as far as pre-AoS shards are concerned... have never really found a good post-AoS one at all... probably official servers).

Little known fact, like a lot of UO music, this was taken from traditional British music. Stones was originally written about Stonehenge.

Iolo wrote Stones. It first appeared in Ultima V in 1988. It is an original composition that clearly nods to the past but is not itself a traditional tune.

Ultima VI and by extension Ultima Online had fantastic music. Still sticks with me after all of these years. Man, do I miss the old days of Ultima Online (before they introduced those trash 3D models that were from the failed attempt to create a sequel).
