Thank u mam! Mam I cannot understand a problem and need ur guidance 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥺 The question is: In a village wth population of 1000, there are 20% diabetic cases. S.T +ve in 90% diabetic cases, while +ve in only 10% healthy persons. Calculate sensitivity, specificity, P.P.V, N.P.V: Ans) no of diabetic = 20/100×1000 (a+c) = 200 a+b+c+d = 1000 a= 90/100×200 =180 Therefore c= 200-180 =20 a+c = 200 b+d = 800 b= 10/100×800 = 80 Therefore d = 800-80 = 720 Total |a 180 | b 80 | 200 |c 20 | d 720 | 800 Then sensitivity, specificity and ppv and npv were solved. Please help. Thank u!
Jazak Allah maam❤
thank you maam
Thank you mam. It was really nice learning from you
ma'am, isn't d already the true negative value? then why do we need to find specificity for true negatives of a screening test?
Ma'am you are great teacher
Thanku
Mam please vedio on pbf,(periphal blood film) prepartion and staining
Thank u mam keep on uploading .Please thank u .
Ur welcome
Love youuuu 🌸🌸🌸🌸

The question is: In a village wth population of 1000, there are 20% diabetic cases. S.T +ve in 90% diabetic cases, while +ve in only 10% healthy persons. Calculate sensitivity, specificity, P.P.V, N.P.V:
Ans) no of diabetic = 20/100×1000
(a+c) = 200
a+b+c+d = 1000
a= 90/100×200 =180
Therefore c= 200-180 =20
a+c = 200
b+d = 800
b= 10/100×800 = 80
Therefore d = 800-80 = 720
Total
|a 180 | b 80 | 200
|c 20 | d 720 | 800
Then sensitivity, specificity and ppv and npv were solved. Please help. Thank u!
Very helpful ma'am
Thank you.
Question 2 specificity of test 95%
nice
Ma'am the usefulness of screening test depends on its
Sensitivity
Specificity
Ppv
Npv
Sensitivity
Mam please use a better mic
Sure thanks for the suggestion
