I remember Being there that night. 2008. I was a senior. 10 years ago. Boy time flies. thinking if only I could sing like that. As I visited with a couple ppl from my chorus ensemble. But now with hard work, and vocal excercise. I believe and have faith in myself. And I can now actually sing in that manner. Glory be to God.
What an inspiring and moving song! Credit to Sarah Stephens Benibo whose incredible voice gives the right emotions that make it felt by everyone who hears it! Bravo!
This is without a doubt my favorite Christmas song of all time. I've never seen a performance where the words were SO compelling and inspiring, the music was as beautiful as the words, and the performer's entire being PREACHED every note in such a powerful way. Sarah Stephens Benibo showed us the soul of this song--and what Christmas truly should be. I can't stop watching this. Thank you Sarah for writing and delivering such a powerful message: we are God's hands.
My pastor and I attend this Christmas Concert every year and when I tell you, this song is one of the highlights of the evening!! No one sings it like this young lady!! Her voice is very anointed and powerful. I remember when she song it this night. She received a standing ovation!!
This song is so super inspiring, In any season! Sarah Stephens Benibo serves up a platter of class and grace in her delivery of this. Her voice is so firm and poignant. The ladies look stunning here. The harmony is soothing to the ear. Thank you ladies for this gracious gift of art. I'll be watching you all in the shower all year to get me up in the mornings..you all make a sister wanna get up and win!..and Be Christmas..every day.
This arrangement gives me chills!! The power and the beauty, and the graciousness. I stumbled upon the Spellman + Morehouse Glee Club two years ago on You Tube while looking for something to give me some comfort in a pretty rough time. It was so uplifting and magical and outright gives me GOOSEBUMPS! I feel something stirring in my soul when I hear her sing. Magical. Perfection. Awesomeness.
Simply the most beautiful and powerful song of the season! May God continue to bless this ministry and spread the news of this carol for generations to come. 🎄🙏🏾
I saw this concert televised on "Aspire" for the first time on Christmas Eve. I'm so glad to know that this video exists because this was one of my favorite selections from that performance. The culture of our HBCU's is so rich and it's good to see the continuance of these traditions.
This brought me to tears, so powerful and absolutely beautiful! 🙌🏾

Astonishing. A level of emotion and sentiment is communicated through voices and bodies that is rare--and true.
