Why You Should Visit TRIESTE | Italy Travel Vlog

- Trieste is a beautiful little city along the Istrian peninsula right up next to Slovenia and Croatia. We loved it for its amazing architecture, of which our favorite was probably the Miramare Castle which sat on the coastline and had a lovely garden area. There’s a ferry you can take to get to it, and we would definitely recommend it because it allows you to get an incredible view of the castle and its coastline from the water.
In Trieste, we also marveled at how intertwined the city is with old ruins from the Roman empire. This really is an amazing city to visit if you’re looking to see some of Italy’s awesome architecture while not getting overrun with crowds!

If you're new here...
Hi! We are Marshall and Sabrina, a couple from Colorado who are eager to see the world! We quit our jobs and packed our bags to pursue a life of full-time travel.
Our travels began in 2022 where we spent a month and a half navigating through new territory and adjusting to living out of a suitcase. After taking a year to build up our savings, we boarded a plane with one-way tickets to Europe!

Loved the vibe, the food the people. Great atmosphere!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
Great for you both to travel like this at such a young age, you won’t regret it. Have fun!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
We've heard so many good things about Trieste, it's definitely on the list!
Awesome! You won’t be disappointed😊
Italy... Italy... roman... Trieste was Austria from 1382 to 1918, was Deutsch Reich from 1943 to 1945 and a free city from 1945 to 1954... that shaped our town!
Great video!
Thank you so much!! 😊
You should visit also Turin and Piedmont to visit some royal redinces and castles... 🙂
Oh thank you so much we’ll add them to our list!! I hadn’t heard of either of those but I just looked them up and they both look beautiful! 😊
Highly convinced you can’t pick a bad spot in Italy! The grounds around the castle are so beautiful. That public park looks really nice too.
And omg that theater. Absolutely love how you stumble upon old stuff like that in European cities. Also, love your sunglasses Sabrina! - Rachel
Yeah I’m starting to think that too!! We considered not going to the castle since it was so out of the way but I’m so glad that we did! And thank you 🥰
I had so much fun watching your video/reliving my trip to Trieste. We went there on one of our James Joyce tours, and we didn't want to leave. I tell everyone about Trieste when they go to Italy. Lots of my friends were unfamiliar with it, but as soon as they discover it, they see why everyone loves that city.
We’re so glad you enjoyed it!! 😊 Trieste really deserves to be more popular! We loved our time there and would be happy to go back for longer
@@MarshallandSabrina So I was a bit jealous watching this video as I want to go back and see Trieste. Then I got even more jealous watching your Tbilisi videos as I haven't been there and have always wanted to visit Georgia. It's on my to-do list. Safe travels!
Wow, looks amazing! We'd probably spend a lot of time in that park just looking for birds! 😁
Haha yeah that would be a nice spot for it! Thanks for watching 😊
such a charming place, really looks worth visiting 😍
Yes we definitely recommend it!!
I love this castle!
Yeah we loved the castle!
Hi loved the video, going to Trieste in a few weeks, can you remember the name of the place you had lunch and where in Trieste it is ? Thanks
Thank you so much! We ate at Buffet Birreria da Rudy. It’s a few blocks away from the Grand Canal. We hope you have fun on your trip 😊
Thanks for the reply, its actually at the end of the street where we’re staying! Looking forward to it, even more after watching your video, thanks again ❤
@@tomwilliams364 oh how perfect!! We hope you enjoy it 😊
You should have given some history around Miramar. I haven’t gone in - was just there. Will get there. It was owned by Maximilian - Hapsburg - brother of the emperor. He was number 2 so they found him an empire. Mexico. Didn’t work out well for him. The Mexicans executed him. His wife, went nuts and was sent back to Belgium I believe. 10:51
