It is known as the Italian capital of coffee, home of University of coffee and beautiful historical cafes. Trieste is also home of the largest sailing regatta in the world and the largest sea facing square in Europe. Before the First World War Trieste was the most important sea port of the Austrian Empire, but now it is often overlooked as an Italian hidden gem. Hi guys, my name is Rok and I’ve spent the last 9 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide and I can’t wait to show you Things To Do In Trieste, Italy.

I was born in Trieste, Although I have lived most of my life in Australia, I went back the first time after 35 years. As the city below us came into view , Luciano Pavarotti was on the radio, what a welcome home! It was quite an emotional experience. Since that first trip I have returned many times.

I went back to Croatia in 2018 after 44 years. I live in Canada and coming out of the last tunnel into Dalmatia and the Adriatic Sea the song on the radio was a popular beautiful Dalmatian song Ne DIraj moja Ljubav . I will never forget that. Your experience reminded me of that.

@@markusschneider8086 I have seen a LOT of Europe thanks so much for assuming you know what I have done with my life. I happen to Love Trieste, also Isola, also many other places. I dislike many large cities, yet love Napoli. I have my opinions, no need for you to troll around arguing with someone on their opinion. A place can have an emotion attachment for you as well. It is like saying the beaches in Italy are beautiful, what a load of rubbish, and argue with an Australian over that! LOL

My favorite places to taste coffee are: Caffè degli Specchi, Caffè San Marco, Illy Corner at Eataly directly on the sea. The variety of cold and hot coffees and creativity you can drink at Illy’s is second to none. There is another coffee in Trieste called Triestina Artigianale, not far away from Piazza Unita. The place is called Torrefazione La Triestina di Ariella Doz. Here you can only buy coffee.
The best ice cream ever you can find in Gelateria Zampolli at Via Ghega 10. Just go for one of the five Senza nome tastes, memory guaranteed.

What a fantastic film, 3D effects and in 4K too. Really informative and well presented. Can I ask one question? When talking about the Roman theatre and the lighthouse you said there was 'no admission'. Did you mean that admission is free or there is no admission fee? 'There is no admission' means you're not allowed in.

Thanks 🤗 No admission means there are no tickets to buy and you can not enter the site. You can admire it from the outside.

@@rokgoesaround They open sometimes for visits and even small concerts or theatrical performances (the Roman theatre). Nice video, i enjoyed watching it even if I live here. Next time consider visit the Grotta Gigante, one of the largest caves in the World

I think spending 2 nights in Trieste is plenty. It is also pretty safe regarding pickpockets as there are fewer tourists.

Is Trieste dog friendly? Are dogs allowed on the streets, beaches, parks, shopping and recreation areas and hotels?
