      Goaltend call Game 7 he should have got bounced in the first round to Victor Oladipo if called correctly... and Oladipo was the great player standing in Lebrons way in the East that year, just like Demar Derozan was for a couple years, wow , great competition, what a joke. Lebron Most overrated player not just in NBA history but all of sports history. Lebron has always had superteams and still even then BARELY won the times that he has to generally weak competition. Warriors maybe the exception but the Cavs played the single best game of the Finals in 2017 Game 4, if he had true will and determination and relentlessness and truly made his teammates better he could have won that series. .. and eerybody talking about Going 16 points to none of his teammates only proves that Lebron doesnt make his teammates better.

    I won't even lie to yall, I was a Bron hater at first but after he went back to back and a very impressive 2013 Season I started becoming a fan. 2016 coming back from 3-1 was what solidified it for me, and this 2018 playoff run crystalized it for me. I'm sorry but in my entire life of hooping, I don't think a prime Kobe or prime Jordan could carry a team to the Finals by themselves. I know it's a team game, but he had no business even getting to the ECF let alone the Finals. I'll take 2018 Bron over anyone. in my opinion its debatable whether Kobe and MJ would get this team to the Final. I say they have a good chance. Yes it was a great run but to be fair lets name competition Cavs faced. Oladipo, Bogdanovic , Turner, Lowry, DeRozan and Ibaka, rookie Tatum 13.9 PPG in the regular season, Jaylen Brown 14.5 PPG in the regular season and Horford. That is arguably the easiest road to the Finals . Cleveland had 2 All Stars , Toronto 2 , Indiana and Boston only 1. Kevin Love was 17.5PPM, 9RBG , you could argue he was as good as any name above.

    Lebron James has overtaken Jordan long time ago. Jordan's 6-0 and 3 peats were an old generation's record and doesn't count anymore. The last time a team won a 3 peat was 21 years ago with Kobe Bryant. There's a compelling reason for this. Post Kobe's era, basketball teams and players have grown so talented and very competitive it is virtually impossible for a single team to dominate and mount another 3 peat. And yet despite this, no other player has dominated this game for so long and so consistent except for Lebron James. As for MJ's fans, so sorry to say that all you've got are nostalgia from old videos and footages from the past including records won out of weak opponents.

    • @user-oh4jd7ku2d
      @user-oh4jd7ku2d Год назад +35

      Perfectly said. What Lebron has accomplished in this generation is just as good as what Jordan accomplished in his generation. In MJ’s generation it was easier to dominate with one team and create a dynasty. The closest thing we’ve had to a dynasty like that in this generation were the warriors and even they had to do something crazy to keep that dynasty building.. which was bringing one of the best players in the league KD to a 73-9 stablished team. And even they couldn’t achieve a three peat. It’s just to difficult. Injuries or not, the competition in todays nba is unmatched and nobody will ever dominate a whole decade like those bulls teams did in the 90s unless someone creates a superteam even worse than the KD warriors. Yea the bulls were what they were in the 90s because of MJ but they were a superteam for their time.

      Team dominance and accomplishments shouldn’t be a factor in GOAT conversations. It’s not fair that an all time great player had the opportunity to have the best team in the league as well while other all time great player had to carry his team most of the time. On the MJ vs Lebron conversation we always bring the 6-0 and the bulls dominance as a factor. Shouldn’t be like that. It’s a teams sport and MJ wasn’t alone in that 6-0 90s run. He had plenty help. I think these highlights compile the greatness of LeBron. Usually, in team sports, the better team wins, even if the other team has the best player. This happens because the opposing team can make someone else beat you which they don't four times out of seven games. The best player can carry his team to wins in singular games, but not playoff series. Great players like Wilt Chamberlain, Kevin Garnett and Tracy McGrady had a really hard time with this. The same happened with young MJ who couldn't beat the Celtics and Pistons at first despite being the best player. However, LeBron James is the only player who consistently were on worse teams but still managed to win. The experts were like "The pacers/celtics/raptors have a better team, but the Cavs have LeBron James...."

      But Lebron also lost when he had better teams/records. 2009, 2010 and 2011.
      Young Lbj didnt beat Celtics and Pistons except the 2007 53 win pistons. Cavs only had 3 less wins.
      In 1989 MJ as a 6 seed beat 2 higher seeds and took the champ pistons to 6 games.

      @@scoop2448 You're absolutely right. LeBron is one of the worst players to ever play. He only gets contracts because his social platform. Whenever he played and won, he was just a marginal bench warmer happy to be along for the ride. He is not the NBA total scoring champion, and his impact on the game is minuscule. Furthermore, he is also the smallest, weakest and dumbest player to ever grace the basketball floor. He can't score, pass, rebound or defend. His closest rival was some rookie who got cut. In my view, Hakeem in 1994 is the largest individual load that anyone has carried for a Title or FInals run. He became the first player to lead a Finals/Title team in 5/5 categories for the ENTIRE Playoffs. Think about that for a second. Hakeem was the best scorer, rebounder, passer, stealer, shot-blocker, and best overall defender on his team for the playoffs... and won the title.
    The other remarkable thing about this title run is that Hakeem became the only player to win the title without another Hall of Famer and without another player who made the all-star team.

    • @scoop2448
      @scoop2448 Год назад +3

      @@quicktoreason2722 Strongly disagree. I don't think you've done much research on Hakeem.
      In his 2nd season he carried the 1986 team to the Finals without starting guard John Lucas past Magic/Kareem's defending champ Lakers and took the 1986 Celtics to 6 games with Sampson ejected in Game 5.
      From 1987 to 1994, Hakeem played with one of the worst supporting casts of all-time as Sampson was injured in 1987 and left soon after.
      In 1987 Hakeem lost to the Sonics in the WCSF despite putting up 30-13 with 4 bpg on 60%. In 1988 he put up 2000 Finals MVP Shaq-type numbers with 38-17-2-2-3 on 57% yet his garbage team couldn't get him out the first round.
      As for early Lebron, he was carrying them but not vs good playoff teams. He only beat one 50 win team in the playoffs during his time on Cavs from 2003 to 2010.
      From 2006 to 2010, 4 of 8 teams LeBron beat in the Playoffs were 0.500 or worse
      2007 - two 0.500 teams, the 53 win Pistons without Ben Wallace (17-13 record vs West)
      2012 - he had Wade and Bosh. He beat a couple good teams but old Celtics had a losing 7-11 record vs West, no Avery Bradley due to injury
      "and lebron willed that team to the finals lol. and lebrons continued to do this for 2 decades"
      This is just absurd. He only carried 2 teams to finals (07 and 18). And his competition was weak compared to west. The other years he had 1-2 other all stars.
      Hakeem on the other hand had to beat 3 50+ win teams in the 1994 title run and FOUR 57+ win teams (and 2 60+ win teams) in the 1995 title run, which has never been done before or since.
      Kobe only has 1 MVP and even Steve Nash won 2 MVPs over him so that's not saying much. And regular season record vs kobe doesnt mean much. Lebron had two 1 seed 60+ win teams in 2009 and 2010 yet couldnt get to the finals vs Kobe. That would have been great to watch.

      he doesn't always carry his teams. but he did 2007, 2015 and 2018. nobody including yourself can deny that. but carrying literally implies you don't have much help genius

      Yeah, you’re right. People aren’t giving LARRY NANCE enough credit for taking the Cavs to the finals…

      @@sportstalkonly1442 It's still a team sport and if you want to give LeBron credit for his performances in those situations(which he deserves), it doesn't have to be at the expense of his teammates. People literally don't give any credit to those 2007 or 2018 Cavs teams apart from LeBron. 2007 team had an elite defense and some good players who've contributed in a big way offensively. LeBron can't play one man defense, nor can he score every point. 2018 team had elite shooting all over the place and that spacing helped LeBron with his offensive production.
