    Goggins runs with broken achile tendons, he trains with cracked bones. He became a savage. He made me want to train everyday for one hour. It does'nt seem much but i started at 55 and i am 56 now. People start ti think i am crazy and i am just beginning and i want to do this for the rest of my life.

    Honestly, Hormozi saying that ‘all champions are broken’ and Goggins saying that ‘it’s easy to be great nowadays since most people are weak’. It’s like a switch was finally switched. People say Goggins goes too far without realizing that they themselves are not going far enough. Any change is better than no change. Or like I always say: 1 is better than zero

      @@calender3721not if you do it the smart way and build up. I’ve constantly had people say you can’t train heavy every day of the weak, yet here I am doing it. I love training but hate it at the same time due to my injuries and illness. But I keep going because I tell my body what to do not the other way round. I train smart my body is in pain anyway, what matters is distinguishing the difference between that pain and the pain from going too far.
      The way I train is different to Goggins I personally wouldn’t train his way as it doesn’t interest me or suit my goals, I can’t have a huge amount of muscle or keep growing muscle doing his training.

    Summary
    FRICTION DRIVES GROWTH - David believes that friction, difficulty, and adversity are necessary for growth. He intentionally seeks out challenges and discomfort to push himself.
    OBSESSION AND EXTREME DEDICATION ARE REQUIRED TO BE GREAT - According to David, most people underestimate what it takes to achieve greatness. It requires relentless obsession, discipline, and near single-minded dedication.
    DAVID'S CHILDHOOD HARDSHIPS SHAPED HIS MINDSET - David suggests that his struggles as an overweight, insecure child who faced racism planted the seeds for his extreme drive. The "haunting" of his difficult past motivates him.
    DAVID FIGHTS CONSTANTLY AGAINST HIS OLD SELF - Even with his success, David feels he has to constantly battle against his old weaknesses creeping back in. He never feels he can relax or turn his intensity off.
    JUDGMENTS FROM "NORMAL" PEOPLE ARE FRUSTRATING - David gets annoyed by people who haven't made the same sacrifices judging and criticizing his extreme approach. They underestimate what it takes to achieve what he has achieved.

I know every day I will win, but I also know I have to take that first step into ring, even thou I know I will win, one still needs to begin, so as to claim that win. I think that first step in the morning taken with hope, is where people don't make it. For one needs to train one's brain, to get through the pain, and a win every day one will always gain. You just need to believe !!!

    Ill tell you what made you great brother, yes sure what you are saying it right too.
    You pushing your body and mind to its extreme and doing stuff that is considered hard among an average individual is definitely a huge factor in where you stand today. But do you realize that most people do that with their life in their own ways? Do you realize that almost every common man or an average individual does it too? They work 9-5 or even 9-9 almost every weekday to become who they are and achieve what they want to do. However, they all fail or adjust to what they have and live a simple life by giving up on all the dreams.
    Now, to say why you are GREAT*
    I think you are great because, first of all you chose what you want to do...this is point 1.
    2 - No matter what you chose to do, you never harmed anyone willingly/intentionally(In the sense doing something bad/harm even tho you know it is very bad). You just blindly did what you wanted to do without caring what others would think of you and sent it all the way without harming anyone. GOD sees THIS* Gods sees your efforts and also sees that you do not mean any harm to people who might even be talking trash about you(Infact, you praise those people who talk trash about you).
    Most people do not even do step 1, they are stuck in a life which their parents want them to live* They are stuck in a life where they do not want to be* They are all stuck in a life because of a fear of failure* They are scared to do things*. This is probably the majority..(Who convince themselves that the life they live is enough and they can never be something) and give up. And then there is a minority that tries and fails, I think they fail because they do wrong stuff or the stuff they do is harming others indirectly or directly and sometimes even harming the earth in many ways. These people might see success but not like you or even people greater than you.
    I would say you aren't that smart, you aren't that crazy or insane nor have you created something huge for humanity.
    All you did was push yourself and your body for years like a fuking maniac. This itself made you one of the greatest. I mean almost every fitness guy in almost every major city knows you. This level of GREATNESS can't be achieved simply... The sole fact of you believing in god says that you feel the hand of god in your life. Trust me, I feel it too sometimes... But I think that is only happening because you mean no harm(even if you come across as rude and many other things) But God knows that you mean no harm to anyone and want to mind your own business and try and do good as much as possible( tell me I am wrong :) ).
    Also, you are the One Punch Man of our Reality. IFKYK.

    Let's not forget, Andrew's guest and colleague at Stanford, Dr Robert Sapolsky, said there is no such thing as free will, no such thing thing as overcoming, no such thing as becoming great or gaining discipline or mustering any sort of grit or strength to triumph at anything in life. He said with full confidence that all inspirational stories are determined in biology and that human effort means nothing and can have zero influence on life. Therefore David Goggins should not be looked up to because his achievements were already determined for him, and a criminal should not be looked down upon for the same reason.
    But does that sound sane?

    • @liviu445
      @liviu445 10 месяцев назад +1

      The only thing about free will people miss, is that if you can abstractly represent free will, you can neurologically change in response to that, that is you can build yourself to respond to the representation of the "will", but then why would will represent itself if it is purely outside human control? That doesn't make sense to me. Now I agree that "being" is so far rooted in biology that there is virtually no "you" as a free entity, because there is too much history in your body's architecture to really distinguish you from any other entity before you, but we don't act that way, and I am not sure what would happen if people would act this way. Human effort cannot mean nothing because it is that same human effort that is recited in the oldest of stories, and is deemed meaningful.
      I believe there is a will within because the brain constrains the world almost infinitely such that you can act, and because the world you can perceive is a model partly computed by your neurobiology, and partly by biologically independent structures, there is a way to act and it is on a spectrum with respect to outcomes determined in your neurobiology. But I don't believe these neurobiological system just fire upon request by a will, it partly get activated by novelty, which is outside of you, but how you represent that in within will, and you as in the you that is conscious can decide how to act if your will can be represented through novelty.
      It's hard to say if there is much willing in habits, since the brain turns off substantially when doing a task well known with an expected outcome.

    • @thepath964
      @thepath964 10 месяцев назад

      @@liviu445 "you can build yourself to respond..." But Sapolsky says this is not true, because if there is no free will in the sense he means, there is no building of any sort you can do because what you can do or not do, including building yourself in any way, has determined for you even before you were born.
      By the way, I do not agree with Sapolsky. I actually think he is insane.

      @jazzyniko 9 месяцев назад

      If there is no free will then we definitely live in a simulation where someone or something already determined our lifes.

      It's interesting that you asked what it is that he did or is doing? He has done in his life what probably 99% won't ever do because they are weak with a victim mentality. How many people do you know who have overcome what he has and achieved what he has? There are millions of people who have done great things who will never be recognized or "win" things. Winning something doesn't define "success." Winning something for recognition can be as arbitrary as the people giving these awards out. Actors win awards because they are the most popular. The Pulitzer prize is given out base on what the group judging likes. Winning a game can come down to a call made by the referee. Winning an art prize is completely subjective, as are books. All these are creative endeavors and yet winning an award only says someone likes your work, not necessarily that it's great.
      He has discovered how to overcome adversity to make himself resilient. In order to be at the level he is at, he has to know how to team manage and be creative. He probably has taken more risks than most people out there. The reason you don't understand why people listen to him is because your definition of creativity, discovery, risk taking is very generic.

      Cry somewhere else! Stop being triggered because he hurt your feelings by speaking the "truth."
      He has 10 million plus followers and changed those million people lives. He even stopped some from suicide..
      What are you doing with your life ? Again, cry somewhere else

      I think your comment perfectly shows the misunderstanding our society has of what a success in this game called “being human“ actually is. All the things you listed are based on achievement in the external world. Those can be taken away from you by life at any moment. Someone who TRULY understands this will naturally aspire to become someone who is completely untouched by anything that life throws at them. So the greatest achievement and success any man or woman can achieve is to truly master themselves. He chose the path of physical hardship to get the job done. The reason people are respecting him so much is because those who are on this path and understand the challenges of that kind of life know how incredibly difficult it is to handle life the way David is handling it. For a mind that is always looking for something to be gained it is very hard to understand why one would do all these things without any reward/result/value. But that’s exactly the point. The only result a man like David is looking for is to conquer himself. And deep down no matter if we are courageous enough to look at it or not: That’s what everybody wants. Complete Freedom within yourself no matter what kind of external situation you are facing. Becoming a master of life.

      Just had to repeat the question because it still fully applies here in spite of the 3 people youve seen on youtube that dont even necessarily fit your description. Afterall, for all you know they just dont curse when recording and 'swear like sailors' most of the rest of the time 😂
