what about if you try to be true to yourself and bring out the best in you to attract the person that you want but the more you open up be more positive and the more you try to be approachable and lovable the more you see that the people that you are interested in (in my case girls) are not interested in you? This feeling really hurts because you're being true to yourself yet the girls around you are not interested, this really hurts you deep down inside and leaves a mark which results in lower self esteem and lower self worth, the exact thing that you're desperately trying to avoid, it's one thing when you are miserable all the time and you see that girls aren't attracted to you (you would understand) and it's a completely different thing if you're bringing out the best in you yet the girls that you are interested in still aren't interested in you, it's a very negative downward spiral and it brings you to square 1

Because of the way women have changed. Among the problems, 80% of women go after the 20% of men that they think have the possibilities to mate with them ($$) Although, there are men that have joined the ranks of gold digging, women still beat the men by far. There is a lot of single people on both sides, due to this attitude & in between there are a lot of divorces. Because, these attitudes cannot sustain good relationships for long. So, no. I'm not shallow! And no, perhaps this is not what keeps me from finding one of value in terms of principles, character, integrity, family values, etc...I don't expect that a bar, a night club or a hot spot is going to produce a quality relationship. Or that I like women that spend a lot of money in their maintenance either. You just simply find it easier to dismiss, attack & doubt a man position, rather than take a step back & think what the other side has to say. That by the way, its become all to common to trivialize the other side and not to truly listen & find the validity of what a man has to say. Just because is a man talking. And this is found hiking, sports & or intellectual conversations. Its found everywhere! The truth is, the big majority of women find themselves very uncomfortable with this kind of truth. But, women find it very easy to criticize men. So, the majority of men find it easier to stay quiet and away from certain issues. But, that the internet has facilitated to communicate.
