Great tutorial. I've been waiting 3 days but still not authenticated and no emails from them to let me know that I have errors. I will go and check that I did it all correct. Do I also need to Connect a Domain in Mailchimp or just do the Email Domain to be able to send emails from my domain name?

My guess would be that you've added the code where you purchased your domain and not where you domain is hosted. Often your domain is hosted where you built your website. See if you can access your DNS records there.

It is standard to send marketing emails through your domain. Gmail throttles sends if they are through a Gmail address or an unauthenticated domain. The thing that harms your sender reputation is sending spam through your domain. If there are a lot of unsubscribes or spam complaints. If you are concerned that the emails you're sending may cause this, use a sub domain instead. Like neil@email.website.com
