though I had some problem with sea water It also ruclips.net/user/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
I bet you're still as excited today about that find as the day you found it. And I wouldn't blame you one bit. Took 40+ years to get it. It'll take another 40+ years for the excitement to finally stop. Congratulations!
Awesome video Sir and congratulations! I am having a good season in the water this year and was strongly considering getting the scuba certification, this encourages me!
Wow, what an AWESOME find.A big congrats on the Gold coin not to mention your other finds. That is great a day to remember. Now go find that $20 Gold coin and as always, take care and HH.
That may be your first gold coin but you have more then made up for it with gold rings! Thanks for all your great videos. I started metal detecting about 2 years ago and your videos have helped me immensely.
Absolutely awesome bro! Well deserved too. Anyone that's been doing this hobby that long, deserves at least one gold coin. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy them very much.
welcome to the gold coin club, your are right about that , you just cant explain the feeling when you realize what you have just dug and its in your hand !!!!!!!!!!
After having all of my scuba gear stolen I guess I have officially retired from making bubbles. Great find and video. Congratulations on the gold coin...
U lucky dog, find of a lifetime. That is some old swimming area, fresh r salt? Thanks for sharing, enjoyed going along. I used to scuba many years ago n made some outstanding finds at an old swimming hole called "The Blue Hole" in Wimberly, Tx, that was some cold water, keep those vids coming...
Holy CARP ! What a beaut, makes the seated look like trash ! A club of few you now belong. Certainly hope I do not need to dig as many holes to get there. Gonna dig 'em anyway though. Congrats King Coinage.
Incredible gold piece. You must have a really good site there, that's probably never been hunted or was hunted by terrible metal detectors back when. Rarely do I ever see anyone dig pre-1930's coinage out of the water unless it was a recent dropped wheat cent or something along those lines. Good job on containing yourself MOSTLY throughout the video. I probably would have spit out my mouthpiece when I saw a seated, attempted to scream out loud, but realistically gulped in a ton of sea water and died. LOL. I think you're right with the marks on the reverse. Probably part of an old pin of some sorts. A LOT of gold pieces you see nowadays, especially on eBay too, are damaged due to people during the 1800's taking them and making all sorts of jewelry pieces out of them and giving them to their spouse, girlfriend, etc.
The size and location of the spots on the gold coin suggest the remains of solder from the attachment of a pin. If so, difficult to remove without leaving a stain. If it is tar, you just dissolve it with spirit or acetone.
Hey, at least it wasn't a seated haha...!! Oh and that coin proves 22k gold can build up minerals on it in the ocean. For everyone who thinks gold can't. Great dig, wish I was there doing the same thing !! Keep @ it and HH !!
What a great video! You found so many old coins! Congrats on the gold coin! We have yet to find one and here in canada its probably highly unlikely so a huge congrats man! Subscribed!!
Great find. Not sure I could do diving, I'd always be looking over my shoulder or peering into the dark recesses just waiting for that shark to appear... love sharks but hate them with a passion. Mate of mine did some dives in Sydney harbor near the old quarantine station. He's found heaps of items from the early 1800's as alot of ships threw items overboard if they had sickness on board....eg sliver cultery, cups etc.

That is awsome! Congratulations! I hope I get to know that feeling one day.
Beautiful low sound... congrats!
Wow! Congrats. I can't wait to find mine.
Great vids mate, keep them coming
Congrats. Scuba diving looks so fun. I love to swim because I don't need a cane and I have no balance issues. I think diving would be the same.
Diving is amazing and rewarding in so many ways.
Man oh man Carter that was the greatest low grunt ever........Klondike ticket....way to go
Congrats with the find. May it happen once a week from now :-)
That detail on the gold coin was superb. I hated seeing the tar on the back.
Try some gold jewelry dip cleaner. Little bit of silver cleaner polisher and a soft cloth might do the trick just don't rub it aggressively.

@@freeganjustin6699 wow
Where there is one gold coin, there might be others! Keep looking! Congrats!
I've been detecting since 1981 and still no gold coins! Dug 10,000 pull tabs though.
You counted them all?
