    What intimacy,what restraint and how much feeling! When he needs it, Reizen is dramatic and majestic. This a gripping interpretation that is rarely captured even by the finest bassos, and there were and are ,many.

    Ottima esecuzione della maestosa aria verdiana.Qui Reizen dimostra buona padronanza della dizione italiana(più che nella "Calunnia")e un credibilissimo accento verdiano.Il suo timbro poi,è uno dei più belli di basso.

    total different overtone spectrum than Italian singers/school. Less brilliant, more warm, would be interesting to know if it had been a loud voice, the efficiency in a big opera house

      He was a leading bass in the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in the 70s.

    Une seule faute: "finir" - il a palatalisé le "n". Je connais ce enregistrement depuis des décennies et cet "n" m'avait frappé dès la première fois. Désolé, je suis pour un quart Vénitien!

      è vero, è la cosa più importante nel mondo?! Che schifo che uno non si sa chi si vende per un quarto-veneziano, ma non è in grado di scrivere tre parole in italiano. Vai a cantare tu e facci sentire come si canta, va bene? E se non sai cantare - vattene!
