    how to make a viewport box in the model? Whatever drawing is in that box is what we see in the layout. For example, if the box scaled at 1/6"-1'-0", then the vport box in the layout is also 1/6"-1'-0"

      Viewports are almost strictly limited to being paper space objects on layout tabs. There is, however, an option on the View ribbon tab to modify the Viewport Configuration while on the Model tab, but this just splits up the display of the Model tab; each Model tab "viewport" is still shown in real-world units. It's possible to then use the ZOOM command and input different scales, but this isn't really like using scaled viewports on a layout tab for plotting/output purposes.

    How to I create and save my own template with company logo and Title block? Use it again. ?

    • @toodark6
      @toodark6 3 года назад

      Creating a template, logo, title block is a much bigger question/concept. Here's a link to a 2-part series that does a good job of showing that. There's no one right way to do things, but there's a lot of good information. ruclips.net/video/ZwPfFZpSK7g/видео.html
      Once you've created your layout, title block, etc. and you'd like to reuse it, use the Save As command and choose the Drawing Template (.dwt) option in the 'Files of Type' pull-down at the bottom of the Save As dialog. Use the new template file, going forward, to create new DWGs.

    It is so much harder to set up in metric (1:100 Meters) scale.
    Most tutorials are showing Imperial scale.
    I don't think anyone actually fully understand the plotting in metric (mm).

    I am a radio talk show host and talk to a microphone all the time. A trick I have found very effective is to never use pronouns. They always drop your listener out of flow. The listener had to mentally stop and create an internal reference for the pronoun. Better to use the name even if it sounds redundant.
