I honestly didn't think about it while watching Borat 2, but for her to have come in and matched Sacha and done such a natural convincing performance while pushing the joke envelope- so impressive!!! What an amazingly talented actress.
Also, of course Sacha was so kind and giving as a person and performer - I have so much respect for him (not even including his comedic genious and amazing acting).
I was so impressed by her performance in the film--she made it work. I hope she has a huge career.
She was the star of the movie!
Cohen is one of the greatest courageous, comedic geniuses in history and Bakalova had the talent and courage to beautifully dance with and match him.
As another female who fell in love with Borat's style as soon as I saw it (in theatre), I am so grateful and thankful for Maria Bakalova's surgence in 2020/2021. KEEP satire alive. KEEP improv alive. And you are such a genuine actress. Stay genuine. ♥ Peace.
There will never be anyone quite like SBC. The man deserves endless praise for his work.
You can tell how proud Sacha is of Maria when she talks. This movie really was lightning in a bottle with these two at the helm.

Maria is brilliant. She is smart; don't let her tiny grammar mistakes mislead you. She sounds intelligent and eloquent.
Even native Americans make grammar mistakes. Just the fact English isn't her native language and she can communicate with it is an extra perk she has that most of the times the people criticizing her don't have (knowledge of a second language).

Maria was the star of this film & it's her movie. Sascha/Borat was just the catalyst.
Absolutely she was awesome I talked to her personally and she is a great actress!
when i watched this it felt sooo needed. i rewatch it all the time. the story is beautiful. and with borat imo is the only time method acting has worked and worked very well instead of being toxic and harmful to the actors. when i was a preteen my childhood bestfriend and i watched thd first movie at least 20 times and we knew the script.
Looking forward to seeing more of Maria Bakalova, tremendously brilliant, loved her timing and comedic flare. SBC is a genius as Maria said, he's got a great mind just like Mike Myers. Brilliant.
She deserves the oscar.
