The Story Of Panchamukhi Hanuman
Panchamukha is a Sanskrit word meaning 'five-faced'. Sri Hanuman manifested himself in Panchmukha or Panchmukhi (five-faced) avatar to kill Ahiravana. The origin of Sri Panchamukha Hanuman can be traced to a story in the Adbhuta Ramayana, but it does not exist in the original Valmiki Ramayana.
Ahiravana a powerful demon, was the brother of Ravana. During the Ramayana battle, when Laxmana killed Indrajit- the son of the Lanka Naresh, Ravana approached his brother Ahiravana for help. He was the king of the underworld or patala. When Vibhishana came to know about this, he rushed to warn Rama and Laxmana.
Ahiravana decided to disguise himself in the form of Vibhishana. Hanuman couldn’t recognize him, and He let him enter the room where Ram and Laxman were. Once Ahiravana entered the room, he abducted Rama and Laxmana and took them to the underworld.
Ahiravana was backed by a strong army. Chandrasena informed Him about the secret of killing Ahiravana that his life force is in five different candles which have been kept in five different directions. The only way to kill Ahiravan is to blow off all these five candles at the same time. Hanuman appeared in five faced form and extinguished the five candles and killed Ahiravana. He then rescued Lord Rama and Laxmana who were in unconscious state by a magic spell.
Panchamukha can be interpreted as the five ways of praying to God in Hindu philosophy. These five ways are known as naman, smaran, keerthanam, yacham and arpanam. The five faces of Panchamuka are each a depiction of one of these five forms of worship.

@@prosantomukerji3931 I neither approve of your attitude nor your language. Every religion has its own mythology and stories. Hinduism has many which are to be understood symbolically/ figuratively. And we accept that. It's not lke islamic stories like Mohammad claiming he broke the moon in two and put it back again or that he flew to heaven on a half horse/ half donkey with a woman's face. And these people take them LITERALLY. They saw some cracks on a pic on the moon's surface and claimed it was true . NASA had to explain that it was a common phenomenon. They also claim that Neil Armstrong converted to Islam . Do not run down a religion which accepts debate and discussion and aspires for happiness for all.

You have missed an important point that Panch Mukhi Hanuman tied the Dakini's power with his hands when hanuman was trying to foil the pind of the devi Ahiravan was worshipping and Ahiravan being distracted,started chanting mukti mantra instead of chadawa mantra,this caused the death and moksha of Ahiravan and Hanuman being successful in carrying Prabhu Ram and Laxman back to his camp. Let's start with Valmiki and Kambar the two authors of Ramayanam Epic. Valmiki wrote in Sanskrit in verse form and Kambar in Tamil in prose form. Valmiki was not a Sanskrit or Pali guy and he too was a Tamil. He came from Kannada and Kambar from Tamil Nadu. Some interested parties wanted Valmiki to look a Sanskrit/Pali guy and got his name mixed up with a Buddhist named Ratnakara, a character from the Buddhist Jathaka Kathawa - a Buddhist chronology. In Tamil JATHAKA becomes JATHAGAM meaning Biodeta in English.
So one stage Valmiki became Ratnakkkardah and his parents were Charshanii and Sumali. I am puzzled to know how they got these names. They look like Twentieth Century Sinhalese names. There is another reference to his father being Pracheta - that name looks Pali. Then next stage Valmiki becomes an Ant Hill and remains in the same form for three decades. Then Narada another Pali guy comes and rescues him. The plot gets more and more complicated, Valmiki now tells the story of Ramayanam to the stone statue elephant, which by now has got a Sanskrit name Gaja Nesa which means elephant worthy of adoration or love and the Tamils concluded it as GANESHA and he becomes Lord Ganesha and the stone statue now has got life.
All this bullshit is to prove that the story of Rama and Sita are real and they lived in Ayodhya. Rama, Sita and Laxman are Tamil names and they couldn't be from Ayodhya. If their story was real Emperor Ashoka would have definitely glorified and built temples. Emperor Ashoka ruled from Afghanistan to Cape Commerin - Kumari Malai. Maha Bulla Pura ( it is Sanskrit/Pali and means big rocky place) when the Tamil Pandiyan kings came to rule they called it MahaBalliPuram. Goodness gracious me only the Pandiyans will know the meaning.
There was no Rama and Sita in Sri Lanka there was only ADAM Alaisalam and Hawa Alaisalam (ADAM & Eve) ADAM and Eve hijacked became Rama and Sita.
SANATANA is not Sanskrit or Tamil it must be a word from the "Kuppatambi Dictionary"
