  • This is a continuation of how to customize 1/6 scale figures (e.g., understanding the selection of bodies and head sculpts, using accessories, and generating complementary poses). I create a second red knight from 1/6 scale items purchased from eBay and an Internet supplier of 1/6 scale items--MonkeyDepot. I don't pretend to be an expert in any of these domains, but I truly hope anything I share is helpful to others. I used a Lmzauet MX02-A body in this video versus a Phicen Limited/TBLeague body or Emulated ZC body and explain why. The head sculpt is not of any one person in particular. The body and head sculpt were from eBay. The accessories were from Monkey Depot.

THANK you! I wish it was as simple as 1, 2, and 3. Sadly, it is sometimes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 or 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7. LOL Of course, you know this already because you have been doing this stuff for a long time too. I think, for me, it is the dark hair on both knights that make them look good together. Their dark hair stands out against the red robe. I really would like to make a third knight, but MonkeyDepot has run out of red knight stuff other than a shield and something else I can't remember that isn't essential to the knights. eBay has some stuff, but darn it, it's more costly, and if it is from China which is where most stuff comes from, it will take quite some time to get to me. I'm not that patient. LOL

@@UndergroundActionFigures Yeah, making custom figures can be quite tricky LOL. I wish that I were more skilled in using various tools and materials, because then I wouldn’t depend so much on pre-made items. Ordering stuff online can take so long waiting for, and thats IF you can find what you need! I’ve finally found a set of 4 medieval(-ish) scholar robes, or what at least can pass as that. Now I need to find some hats (or what ever those things are called) and 4 head sculpts. Maybe some sandals too. Things would go alot quicker if I only had the right tools and skills to make everything from scratch myself LOL. The fact that Im a bit lazy doesn’t really help much either though LOL.

I agree, and if I could sew that would be even better. LOL My sewing techniques are simply (super glue). Seems to work pretty well on certain things. LOLOL

The sky is the limit, and it is so FUN!!! You have to have some sort of end goal, but you can always change directions as you go along too. Right now my favorite customs are male knights and female vikings. I want to venture into musketeers soon but finding the right types of clothing and accessories will be a challenge. The great thing is that although it isn't free, it is sure easier on the purse strings when one turns to customizing as long as you really really like the outcome. Happy customizing!!! :-)

Hello and thank you for the kind words. I will try to squeeze in Bruce Lee very soon!!! A lot of the heads of Bruce Lee "now" are not so good, but when Medicom was at it's height, they made some very good Bruce Lee 1/6 scale figures (slightly smaller than regular 1/6 scale, but not that bad). I use the following Internet suppliers of loose 1/6 scale items: monkeydepot.com, toyanxiety.com, war-toys.com, blackopstoys.com, rattlesnaketoys.com, zhukovsattic.com, worldofonesixth.com, and timewalkertoys.com. If I think of others, I will let you know!!! For awhile, I used toyswonderland.com, but lately they have been actually very inconsistent. When I did receive things from them, they were very good though! :-) Lately, I am not receiving some things ordered and have to had my credit card company step in. :-(
