Two questions if you don’t mind responding. Do you ever use Carbide Inserts using your Sherline or only HSS cutters? And you move the headstock frequently with the Sherline…is the alignment that accurate that removing and replacing is true to the tail stock? Thank you so much for your videos…have learned so much from watching!!!!
Hello mate - I use HSS almost exclusively, inserts only when required eg cast iron skin cuts. Headstock has a register key, I find it to be ok keeping in mind the limitations of the machine. A dti lives permanently on xslide to check things when it matters - Cheers :)
